UPND President Hakainde Hichilema leaving the court

Dear Mr. Hakainde Hichilema,

Sir I hope you find strength in every breath you take during this episode of your life. I am a human being and my humanity is tempted to feel sorry for you. I would have loved to visit you even for a minute and shake hands with you once again but that may not be possible for me to do right now. Sir, if ever you get to read this letter please read it not with your mind but with your heart because this is not a product of my intellect but of my heart. Mr. Hakainde sir, please cherish this period of your life as everything you have dared to stand for is being put to test. I do not feel sorry for you at all but i admire you sir. You are lucky and blessed.

Sir, think about the tallest building, before the last brick was put, the builders first had to dig deeper. Think about the tallest tree sir, before the tree reaches its highest peak it first goes under with the roots. Think about Jesus Christ, before his ressurection he first had to be buried. Everything that has ever gone up has always dwelled under.

Think about the labour ward where our sisters and mothers give birth to life, its the place of pain but the joy that awaits is greater do you notice that the grave has the best flowers than the labour ward? Sir, the prison is such a terrible place, its a place of pain and misery but thats where great minds find inspiration. If Jesus Christ who raised the dead, healed the sick and fed thousands was chained and condemned to death who are we to escape the mediocrity of humanity.

Mr. Hakainde sir, you are in the labour ward of dreams whilst the grave yards are glistening with flowers of comfort and illusions of freedom. While you spend each minute reflecting those outside that prison are losing themselves in pleasure. I do admire you sir, your story shall be told with great detail. Do not lose hope, do not u-turn on your dreams. While it may appear hard and impossible, it is not. There are those who find comfort in calling you the Nelson Mandela, I find that insulting to you for you are not a copy of any other person but your own. Your story is not to become like Mandela but to become the Hakainde Hichilema from a little village in Monze.

Lastly, as difficult this period may be to you and your family, I think its a moment to rejoice. Those who believe in the future can see beyond the smoke.

Thank you sir
Pilato

    • Okay, Pilato has just made minister of cultural affairs in the HH lead government of 2021 !
For those with political aspirations in Africa even in this day, prison is indeed the labour ward of dreams.
God in His wisdom and fore-knowledge of the future is merely preparing you HH for the difficult task ahead and so that you can understand the consequences of the power that will soon be in your hands. Will you treat Vodiga Rungu and fellow bandits with the same ruthlessness they have dealt you?

    • UMWAICE UYU IBANGE ALALIPEPESHA SANA. PROBLEM IS, EVEN IF HE HAS FINISHED THE JOINT, THE SMOKE STILL REMAINS TRAPPED IN HIS WIG (HAIR). IN SHORT- HE SMOKES CONTINUOUSLY. MWAICE UNASHEKO IFYAMBA.

    • EL is a very lucky guy on earth, He has blind followers who go on supporting him on an empty stomach, with no jobs, no money, no medicines in hospitals, unpaid contractors, unfinished projects eg chingola/kitwe and chingola/solwezi roads, their only job is sing praises for him while he enriches himself with RB, I wish i had such luck in life like EL, wounder what his bank balance is now knowing that it almost went up by over 1000% in his first year in office.

  1. In returning to advocate Jack Mwimbu’s analysis of the latest developments, Correctional Services Department do have their own set of rules and regulations which they can apply as when and need arises. I do not think the learned advocate and I are on the same frequency in regard to the transfers of prisoners from one correctional center to another. It is within normal protocols that even trial awaiting prisoners are transferred from one correctional facility to another. However, trial awaiting prisoners are housed in separate units, as opposed to housing convicted prisoners with trial awaiting inmates. I worked in maximum security correctional centers and also reviewed thousands of parole applications. I fully support the just cause of the UPND. I also espouse HH.

    • THAT IS WHAT HH THOUGHT AS WELL. HE THOUGHT WHEN ARRESTED ZAMBIA WILL BURN. ZAMBIANS HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO THAN COMMITTING ANOTHER SERIOUS ARSON OFFENCE. IN ANY CASE SHOULD THERE BE POCKETS OF SUCH OCCURENCES- ONCE ONE OR TWO ARE CAUGHT THAT WILL BE AN EXAMPLE OF HOW THE LAW DEALS WITH ARSONISTS. I DON’T THINK BEMBAS, NGONIS NAMWANGAS, TUMBUKAS, ETC WILL BE THAT STUP!D AS TO START BURNING WHAT THEY WAITED FOR, FOR HALF CENTURY. IT MAY HAPPEN IN THE SMALL POCKETS OF TONGALAND. BUT AS I SAID- THE LAW WILL VISIT THEM ONCE CAUGHT.

  2. The matter about HH is similar to Nelson Nolihlahla Mandela in the sense that both men are connected in terms of how they digest pertinent issues. In reference to Mandela, the oppressors were white and several times stronger than the Zambian government both economically and militarily. In relative terms, it is suffice to comment that HH’s oppressors are black and there economically and militarily weak. I assert so because Lungu has no resources (economic means) and a well trained army which can withstand a well organised foreign invasion. That said, HH is extremely intelligent and that is what sets him apart from Zambian politicians and foreign politicians. HH can be likened to Socrates, Karl Marx, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King. HH is not comparable to Lungu.

    • Len joe. Do you really know what you are writing or you are just obsessed with HH. I don’t hate him but if there is any politician socially dull is HH. You cannot be supported by only your tribes’ mate and you think you are a Mandela. Mazoka was by far the best politician ever produced in my Tonga land. HH acted foolishly and he will regret the action he took for some time. Karl Marx was a professor of economics and HH has no doctorate degree at all. Nowhere has Lungu ever equated himself to HH. They are both learned but not very educated as to the people you are comparing them with. The problem with us Tongas is the failure to see good in others. If HH had waited a little bit longer he would not have been in this situation at all.
When he come out, let him take a deep chill. The…

    • Len Joe, you can not compare Mandela to HH. Hh is fighting a legitimate government, whilst, Mandela was fighting for the right to vote, one man one vote. I don’t know what yard stick you are using to liken Hh to great thinkers who changed the way the world thought. Both HH AND ECL are nonentities to the philosophers you have itemised. Don’t overate these politicians. I can tell you if it were these philosophers in HH’s shoes they would have called for calm among their supporters, not the way HH has handled this election thing. Its pathetic. Potentially putting you and me at risk. Sorry, I choose to differ with your comparisons greatly.

    • I take it that you have misplaced the connotations of the concepts of ’cause’ and ‘reasoning’ or rather ‘the schools of thoughts’. To put it mildly, as a way of excluding sweeping thoughtless statements, I kindly concur with you that we both come from unequal schools of thoughts. That being said, the geographical position of a person is irrelevant to the ‘quality of thoughts’. With specific compelling reference to Mandela, the global views towards black South Africans were largely overlapped with exaggerated sympathy, thus, anything that which Mandela uttered was accepted without informed questioning. In regard to HH, the global village knows very little about him. Nonetheless, do not quote me out of context. Granted Lungu’s reckless and heavy handedness towards HH, as well as…

    • George??With specific compelling reference to Mandela, the global views towards black South Africans were largely overlapped with exaggerated sympathy, thus, anything that which Mandela uttered was accepted without informed questioning. In regard to HH, the global village knows very little about him. Nonetheless, do not quote me out of context. Granted Lungu’s reckless and heavy handedness towards HH, as well as HH’s intellect, the young man is extremely intelligent maybe more than Mandela. I am more educated than HH or any Zambian politician. I truly trust my long list of qualifications which reinforce and inform my determinations. Moreover, I have been studying at a university level for almost thirty years.

    • perfect (6.1). It appears to me that you are insulting your intelligence or you are failing to weigh up facts or possibilities. Please, do not lecture me on Karl Marx (the greatest thinker of the millennium) or any of the important figures whom I cited in my previous comments. In respect of available facts, Tongas are the minority and there are lessen than half of the population of voters in Zambia. Furthermore, the rigged votes indicated that HH (UPND) got almost 50% of such votes, very close to PF votes. Such results deconstruct your myth about regionalism and tribal-based votes and, insinuations that there is something wrong with Tongas. Moreover, HH is educated because he has a Masters’ Degree in economics, which is a conduit to a PhD or post-doctoral degree. As for me, I lost count…

  3. Pilato thanks for an inspirational masterpiece. In this time of difficulties and persecution HH deserves this empathy irrespective of what the Sadist are saying or doing to him. HH is a suspect for now and yet he is being treated like a Convict or Criminal. Until HH and his workers are tried and convicted of Treason they remain innocent. This persecution by the Sadists will come to pass. May u remain steadfast in the face of torture by these Satannic Criminals. Time and God are on yr side. Stay Blessed!!

  4. Hey, please don’t flatter HH. Just go straight to the point. Just advise HH to show remorse for daring the Presidential motorcade and also repent on behalf of his supporters for burning houses belonging to the poor, markets and shops in Namwala and elsewhere.

    • No wonder Africa is in such s..t because of people like you. Your reasoning is that of an animal. What a piece of s…t you are, low life! Can’t you see the work of little scared dictators here? So, what’s going on in Zambia is normal for you.

    • !d!ot alert!!! Shield your brains my fellow intelligent anti-PF bloggers, a dull comment has just been released 🙂

  5. Although Lungu has a basic degree in law, in the academia I consider him to be literate rather than an educated entity. He is not a mediocre, but he is qualified to perform or execute menial tasks, as opposed to being a strategist. Socrates was not trained in law, but he questioned the accusers by using his proficiency in reasoning and deconstructing myths and reconstructing hard facts. That said, Socrates was able to turn accusations upside down on theirs heads. Nonetheless, Socrates was unapologetic for his position in society because he wanted to correct the wrongs of society, which were normalised on the basis of status and resources. The same can be attributed to brother HH (Son of Tongas). People are morally correct to question their leaders. Viva HH

  6. am sure the niga has come to his useless senses that zambia has a president.when u go beyond your limit not even the international community will help u.

  7. We will not standby and applaud Lungu and his cronies for attempting to rewrite and distort the history of Zambia. Make no mistake, ideas can and shall never be arrested. HH’s character is not relevant to many of us, but his ideas gravitate us towards a cause and sense of belonging. Lungu is mistaken if he thinks HH is the only one in this business of not accepting nonsense. Lungu must prepare himself for many more duplicates (cronies) of HH. Moreover, HH has opened the gates to the trajectory of emancipation and the rest of us will follow in his footsteps. It will be a bruising fight till to the bitterest end. Alluta continua, viva HH, viva UPND. Down with PF, viva Zambia. It is a Republic of Zambia not a Republic of Lungu or PF.

  8. jonz zimba – Be serious you. Is Edgar a presidential material? May be you have just migrated from Malawi to Zambia. Do you know that Michael Chilufya Sata dared Levy Mwanawasa so much. Look at the ending of these two great men to this day. They ended the best friends. All the important structures like Mwanawasa Hospital, Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola were named by Michael Sata in honour of someone he opposed so much. That is how great men operate not this little scared junk of a man. He is stiff scared. It is a matter of time. HH is not suffering but it Edgar is the one who is trouble who has to find something to fix HH with. But for how long?

    • You are stinking sick in your head. That’s not the society we want to build. For your information, on the African continent (unfortunately), great leaders pass through such hardships. Oh, you have forgotten that Sata was locked up at Mukobeko; no, he did not rot there: he later became the president of this country.

  9. PILATO I AM DEEPLY TOUCHED BY YOUR LETTER AND MANY OF US SHARE YOUR FEELINGS. IT IS ALWAYS DARKEST BEFORE DAWN. GOD BLESS H.H GOD BLESS PILATO. BRAVO BROTHER.

  10. Comment:pilato that is a strong one and a brave one I believe u think big that is the spirit keep it up u are inspiring cool man

  11. At the end of day, we ought to do what is right in God’s eyes and not men. Whatever is correct with God will always be correct with man. Lungu actions are not in line with God and the day he loses power he better have 50 well paid lawyers to avoid the consequences of his actions. A wrong is a wrong and should be supported no matter what and what lungu has been doing to HH is wrong

  12. Dear HH, Continue to be strong in spirit. This is just a storm in a teacup.
Rungu will have his day! He is not immortal and he doesn’t know what plan God has for him and for you. What you did in Mongu was a traffic offence.
They could have taken away your license but not your right to liberty.
Use your time in prison to think BIG!
We are all praying for you.
God bless you and your family.

  13. Mukobeko has underground tunnels and those were built for torturing people during KK. They were banned by Chiluba in 1992, that is why even the 1997 coup plotters were not taken there. Even Kaunda was not taken there. But is is sad, surely barbaric for Edgar to throw HH there. I am a PF member and I was once a councilor in Isoka under PF in 2011, but what is happening to HH means iam in a wrong party. President Lungu has really dented the image of PF. this is not what we fought for in 2011. Lungu is destroying our party. That is why we need pipo like Harry Kalaba not useless pipo like Lungu to lead our party. This is not the PF Mr sata built and left. I am really disturbed and i know my comments will make me get fired from the party of which i dont mind. We cant keep quite as PF wen one…

  14. Alaaa ba true Zambian, hh is in trouble today because of his pride and stupid behaviour,if he was wise enough he would have avoided what happened in mongu but because he is arrogant and stupid let him pay for his foolishness.

  15. Mr Hikainde, remember what Jesus went thru by his tormentors,This is your final test from this sadistic regime ,they get their power from their master SATAN you will get your everlasting strength from your master JESUS.pray always.their scheme is to bar you from standing in 2021.to the little minds of only you can stay in prison for more than 15 months.BABEPELEYE. A MA SICK SADISTS.Remember that Jesus is alive.

  17. you kid yourself, going to prison is a not a requirement to be president.. oh so someone whispered to HH just starts daring the law and get arrested… Mandela was in jail for the struggle, KK was jailed for a cause HH is in remand for what cause? You have again misread weather…
I think make videos of rigging, produce evidence of elections the ECZ said you lost you may start making sense not paying foreign entities for solidarity. It’s sad that this guy is in cells but I deserves it.
