Lusaka Dynamos down Nkana to stay top

Lusaka Dynamos edged Nkana 2-1 on Sunday at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka to stay top of the FAZ Super Division for a second week running.

Dynamos midfielder Potipher Zulu registered a brace with winger Shadrick Musonda scoring for Nkana in this Week 11 match.

Coach Patrick Phiri’s elite side leads the table with 20 points from 11 matches played after stunning his old club Kalampa.

Nkana remain stuck on 16 points after picking just one point from their two matches.

Nkana were one of the big guns who dropped points on Sunday.

Zanaco were held to a goalless draw by Napsa Stars with Zesco United forcing a 0-0 stalemate at winless Kabwe Warriors and Power Dynamos recorded a similar draw against Nchanga Rangers in Kitwe.

However, there were wins for defence force teams Red Arrows and Green Buffaloes.

Friday Samu scored a 90th minute goal as Buffaloes overcame Real Nakonde 1-0 in Nakonde Town.

The win pushed Buffaloes to second position after increasing their tally two 18 points.

Stanley Nshimbi grabbed a brace with fit-again Bruce Musakanya scoring the other goal when Red Arrows thumped Green Eagles 3-1.

Forward Greenwell Witika scored Eagles’ consolation goal in Lusaka.

  1. Zedi must not eve be relegated to Assistant Coach because problems will be there. Zedi and Kambampa must go let the incoming coach look for his own assistant. Let Billy work under the incoming coach as a way of succession planning.
