POlICE in Sinazongwe District  in Southern Province have  picked a body of a fifty six years old man suspected of committing suicide at Maiya Fishing camp.

A ZANIS reporter who rushed to the scene found Patson Mpundu 56 hanging on a rope tied to a tree believed to have hanged himself for unknown reasons.

According to the son of the deceased, Aubrey Mpundu, his father  arrived home while drunk and had a chat with his children while the wife was away on the islands of Lake Kariba for fish and kapenta trading after which they left him outside when it was time for them to go to bed.

Mpundu said  that they only woke up to a rude shock when they discovered that their father had committed suicide after a tip off from the neighbourhood watch.
