Share

Nkana collected their first win under new coach Beston Chambeshi when they beat Buildcon 1-0 at home in Kitwe.

Chambeshi’s reign got off to the worst possible start when he lost his opening two matches before relief with saturday’s home triumph over the big spending Ndola side.

Ronald Kampamba scored the game’s lone goal in 71st minute in match Nkana deserved to win.

Nkana are 10th after the win on 19 points, seven behind leaders Lusaka Dynamos who beat City of Lusaka 3-2 at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka.

Meanwhile, Zesco are 2nd on 22 points after a 2-0 home win in Ndola over Nkwazi thanks to goals from Jesse Were and John Chingandu in the 33rd and 71st minutes respectively.

And Power Dynamos’ unbeaten run in the 2017 FAZ Super Division came to an end on Saturday when they lost 1-0 away to Green Buffaloes.

Zambia striker Brian Mwila’s 73rd minute goal for GBFC broke the visitors hearts.
