Nyirenda plots for Bafana Bafana

Zambia coach Wedson Nyirenda is expecting South Africa to be tough when they clash against his side in the final qualifying round of the 2018 CHAN.

Bafana Bafana will host Chipolopolo on 12 August in the first leg before the Lusaka return match seven days later.

Zambia are in the final qualifying stage after thrashing Swaziland 3-0 in Lusaka on Saturday to advance 7-0 on aggregate.

“It is not going to be an easy game. South Africa have a formidable side. They have so many players playing in their own league,” Nyirenda said.

He said Zambia should prepare well for their Southern African rivals.

South Africa ejected Botswana 3-0 over two legs.

“We have a hurdle to go through
But I think in all fairness we are going to prepare for them,” Nyirenda said.

“We will do a good job,” he added.

Last month, Zambia edged South Africa 2-1 in an away friendly match.

  1. HOW COME U BEAT LESOTHO ONLY BY 7 TO ZERO such a small team without a coach , and they had three players red carded. These are signs of a weak zambia please fire the coach Now or else the next game against Sudan in south africa will be tough

  2. Football rarely produces cricket scorelines. It is a footbaball scoreline that is likely to be the difference between the two team at the end of the beautiful game.It is not about which team you are playing but about the normal scoreline for the game.
