Opposition United Progressive People leader Saviour Chishimba has been picked by police from Diamond TV where he was featuring on a television programme.
According to a brief statement by UPP Spokesperson Kizito Mukuka, Mr. Chishimba has been taken to Police Headquarters.
And Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo confirmed the development saying Mr Chishimba has not been arrested but only taken in for questioning.
“It would be premature for me to say that he has been arrested and that would be jeopardise the work that the officers are doing,” Mrs Katongo said.

But Zambia!!!!!! God help. You can’t even yawn. It seems the police have so many questions for ordinary citizens than answers to solve rampant crime and abuse of workers by foreign companies.

Right now in Zambia Mumbi Phiri makes the wildest allegations each time she opens her dirty mouth and her allegations often contain degrading remarks about her victims. My question is, why has she never been arrested like Chishimba?
This is from your petit-minded ECL, Zambia’s and arguably with good reason, one of the most inconsequential, useless presidents in the World. The charge is defamation of the president. As much as it’s evil to insult another person, I would love that this law should be repealed and brought down at personal level not at office level. Yes it would be difficult for the president to be suing each and every Jim and Jane that insults.

Some people do not seem to know the difference between The President of Zambia and the president of an opposition party. No wonder KK stoped every one to be using the word “president any where else if it not republican president. All Party presidents should be called “Chairmen” instead of president to lessen confusion in the country. May be that is why na treason is coming
