Beston Chambeshi is hoping Nkana will leave Zesco United with a good result from Wednesday’s Copperbelt derby at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
Leaders Zesco hosts 6th placed Nkana who are on 41 and 35 points from 20 and 22 games played respectively.
This will be the two sides third meeting in 2017 after Zesco beat Nkana 2-0 in the Charity Shield final on April 1 and drew 2-2 away in the first leg league meeting on April 30.
But Nkana head into the match hoping to stay unbeaten for a third straight league match after defeating Zesco 3-2 last November at Levy Stadium to end their 16 match winless run against the Ndola club.
“We have to respect them. They finished second to the defending champions Zanaco in the 2016 but at the same time we are fighting for fourth position. So it will be a good game meeting Zesco at this point when the team is gelling,” Chambeshi said.
