Striker Fashion Sakala has completed the Zambia roll ahead of Saturday’s 2018 FIFA World Cup Group B qualifier showdown against Algeria in Lusaka.
Fashion joined camp on Tuesday evening and took part in his first training session with the team on Wednesday morning at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.
The striker from Russian club Spartak Moscow was the last player Zambia coach Wedson Nyirenda was awaiting from the first leg clash against Algeria to be played at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka on September 1.
“I am looking forward to the Algeria game but I will not be in a position to promise anything but will leave it to God,”Fashion said.
“-But I will try by all means to put in my level best if I am named in the final squad.”
And joining Fashion at Wednesday’s training was controversial Lusaka Dynamos striker Fwayo Tembo.
Fwayo popped up at training three days after Zambia camp commenced.
This is after Fwayo earlier snubbed his call-up for the Algeria game.
“Well there is nothing to comment on Fwayo,” Nyirenda told reporters at Nkoloma.
“He joined the squad and trained with us this (Wednesday) morning.
“If he makes the team, he does it, if he does not, it’s like that.”
However,Nyirenda will be without Under-20 midfielder Edward Chilufya who failed to get his Algerian visa for the final away leg on September 5 in Constantine.
Chilufya is based at Swedish club Djurgarden.
