A 50 year old woman of Chiwempala Township in Chingola district in Copperbelt province has sued a clergy of the Apostolic Church of Zambia Luanshya branch claiming compensation for insulting and defamation of character.
This is in the matter in which Easter Chisala, 50, has sued John Simusole an Elder in the Apostolic Church of Zambia in the Luanshya local court for insulting her and defaming her publicly.
This was after the court, last week dismissed a matter in which Chisala had sued the same church claiming compensation for the tithe she had contributed to the church from 1996 when she was a member.
Chisala was demanding that the church builds her a house and give her an additional K10, 000.00 as compensation for her monetary contribution to the church.
Appearing before Luanshya local court magistrate Nonde Chibuye, Chisala said elder Simusole has caused her shame and psychological torture by publicly insulting and deforming her each time she went to the church to seek audience with him.
And Simusole who expressed shock at the law suit denied, ever having contact with Chisala adding that, he had never seen her before and did not know her.
However, Chisala informed the court that she had witnesses who could testify to how Simusole has publicly insulted and degraded her.
But Magistrate Chibuye discontinued the case to allow for Chisala to be able to present her witnesses before court as she claimed the witness were in Kalulushi and not before court.

Tithe can not be reclaims on grounds that she gave it generously to the church . In my own understanding of this matter, the lady has money problem hence the idea that crossed her minds is to sue the church. When the first attempt failed, she come up with other idea.
