Nkana on Saturday won the Kitwe derby while Zanaco went top of the FAZ Super Division table on the same date.
Nkana downed Power Dynamos 1-0 away at Arthur Davies Stadium thanks to a 69th minute goal by Walter Bwalya.
The win ended Nkana’s four match derby drought against Power dating back to May 2015.
Nkana had prior to Saturday’s win picked up three defeats and a draw against Power who beat them 2-1 away in Wusakile in the first leg meeting in June.
Nkana are 5th on 52 points, swapping places with Power who drop one place to 6th on 51 points.
Meanwhile, Zanaco have gone top of the table for at least 24 hours after a 2-0 away win over 7th placed Lumwana Radiants.
Heritier Nkonko and Augustine Mulenga were on target in the 40th and 84th minutes respectively to second Zanaco to 57 points, one point more than Green Buffaloes who drop to 2nd and only play on Sunday away at struggling Kabwe Warriors.
Zanaco’s win ended Lumwana’s four-match unbeaten run since Nchanga Rangers beat them 1-0 on September 3.
Zesco are 3rd on 55 points after routing Lusaka Dynamos 3-0 thanks to goals from Jesse Were in the 1st minute, John Chingandu in the 62nd minute and Lazarus Kambole in the 84th minute.
