Army works break out again

Share

The devastating Army works have broken out in Lusaka again.
Communications and Transport Minister Brian Mushimba confirmed in an interview on Tuesday in Lusaka.
Army worms were detected  at  the Mount Makulu farming block in Chilanga.
Mr Mushimba said officers from his office and the Ministry of Agriculture received the reports last week and undertook surveys to verify the reports.
He said the rest confirmed that the Army worms that have broken out are a different type known as Army Worms Type 4, slightly different from the fall Army worms that broke out last farming season.
Mr Mushimba said Government has since stepped out interventions to contain the further spread of the Army worms.

    • Soccermania, yes cholera is bad physical planning. Have you ever head of cholera breaking out in Kabulonga and Ibex? It only occurs in overcrowded filthy environment

We are told that Cholera in Zambia is like a traditional ceremony. Even next year it will be there.

On army worms, I think we need to start building models. Look at last year’s weather pattern. too hot, delayed rains…..

  1. Why is the Minister of Transport and Communication talking about “Army works” – maybe that’s why LT can’t get the name right. Perhaps if the Minister of Agriculture had given the report, we would have a different story…..just saying.

  2. Too bad for those Nhima addicts! Too much of anything is bad. Nshima has no food value. It only leaches your body of vitamins and minerals. Diversify your diets beyond nshima and the army worm will leave you alone. PF should just ban the growing of Maize to starve the worms!

  3. Ba Editor mule belenga. You must edit. You must proofread before publication otherwise we will forever have such: Army works break out again

  4. Zambia full of problems, fall army worm, stalk borers, tuta absoluta and low prices of maize( killing farming) OMG please forgive us,we know that most bishops are idolising during the prayer and fasting day, hence being hurt by there conduct.
