Mapulanga is Nkana’s 2017 Best Player

Goalkeeper Moses Mapulanga was on Saturday night named the 2017 Nkana Player of the Year during the club’s delayed award gala at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.

Mapulanga was instrumental in his debut season at Nkana as the club finished third in the Super Division to secure a CAF Confederation Cup place.

Defender John Mwengani was the biggest winner on the night after bagging the Fans’ Player of the Year and Most Improved Player awards.

Striker Ronald “Sate Sate” Kampamba scooped the Most Disciplined Player Award with defender Diego Apanane being named the Most Consistent Player while midfielder Harrison Chisala won the Young Player of the Year Award.

Coach Beston Chambeshi got the Board Chairman’s award on the night midfielder Yannick Mulenga walked away with the President’s Award and midfielder Jacob Ngulube received the Chief Executive Officers’ Award.

Striker Walter Bwalya was the top scorer last season.

  2. I think it’s one of those days in soccer or it cld be anxiety in debut national colours otherwise he is a good defender and deserves it at Nkana.

  3. John Mwengani really disappointed me yesterday.at Nkana FC,he seems to be a good player with bright future but yesterday in Morocco he was useless.am sure he had to much fear wearing a Chipolopolo jersey for the first time in such a big game!!
    But FAZ should fire Wada now.as for John Mwengeni,that could have marked his last day in a chipolopolo jersey.
