The nine year old CHAN record held by ex-Zambia striker Given Singuluma has been broken.
Morocco striker Ayoud el Kaabi’s six goals, at the ongoing tournament his country is hosting, broke Singuluma’s all-time top scorer feat that has stood since 2009.
Singuluma scored five goals at the inaugural tournament held in Cote d’Ivoire where Zambia finished third.
El Kaabi, of Moroccan club RS Berkane, broke Singuluma’s record last Saturday in Morocco’s 2-0 win over Namibia.
Meanwhile, the 2018 CHAN semifinal line-ups are complete.
Nigeria will face Sudan while Morocco play 2014 CHAN champions Libya on January 31.
All time? What the heck does that mean?

As a Nigerian, i would want our Team B to win but the best Team of the tournament remain Morocco, the host. It would be a tough call for us to win this competition but the essence is not to win but to discover new players that can fit into our Olympic Team and World cup bound Team A .The tournament would have been a big success for Nigeria if at least 1 of the Team B Players can be included in the list of Players that will go to Russia for the World Cup. Bravo to Sudan, Morocco, Libya and Nigeria for reaching this stage of the competition. The football pitches are lush green and beautiful as well.Kudos to Morocco.
Meanwhile Renard’s Morocco has qualified to the semi-finals. Too many armchair critics were disparaging Kalu & Renard. Bring them back.
