Nchanga Rangers fire Evans Sakala

Nchanga Rangers have fired Coach Evans Sakala and second assistant Evans Mwaba.

Sakala’s dismissal comes two days after he told the media that Nchanga players played under protest against Power Dynamos as they lost 3-1 in Kitwe.

Nchanga Secretary Chalwe Chipulu says the FAZ Super Division side has since promoted first assistant Hector Chilombo to the role of head coach.

“Evans Sakala is no longer the head coach of Nchanga Rangers together with Evans Mwaba the second assistant,” Chipulu said.

“The first assistant coach Hector Chilombo has taken over,” he said.

17th placed Nchanga have 11 points after playing 11 matches.

“We have set targets for this year. We want to be among the top ten on the log,” Chalwe said.

On reports of nonpayment of player’s allowances, Chalwe said:” That is our internal affair. Every club owes players some money.”
