Defending FAZ Super Division champions Zesco United have declared that striker Lazarus Kambole is not going anywhere..for now.
Kambole exploits at the 2018 COSAFA Cup, where he scored three goals for Chipolopolo, have sparked interest from South African clubs Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.
“They are a number of team especially from South Africa and the Middle East interested in him,” Zesco CEO Richard Mulenga said.
“But what we have told all of them is we are competing in the league and we are also competing in the Champions League and we wouldn’t want to sell our best players right now.
“What we have told them is; talk to us in December.”
Zesco currently lead the FAZ Super Division table heading into the half-way point of the season on 42 points, four more than Green Buffaloes.
They are also engaged in the 2018 CAF Champions league group stage that enters match-day -three on July 17 when they host Primeiro de Agosto of Angola.
Kambole has been in lightening form this year scoring six goals for Chipolopolo since making his Zambia debut in January.
He has another six and three league and CAF Champions League action respectively.
Kambole and Justin Shonga don’t fix well in Orlando or Kaizer chiefs. You have to have ka attitude like:
Cletus Chama
Mulenga – any Mulenga you can think of.
They shouldn’t stand on his way. Let him go.
