Zambia’s last three continental representative are now know joining Zesco United in the 2018/2019 CAF Inter-club competition draws.

Zesco confirmed their CAF Champions League slot a fortnight ago when they retained the FAZ Super Division title with two matches to spare.

They will be joined in the CAF champions League by Nkana who finished second and four points behind them on 76 points.

Green Buffaloes and Green Eagles who finished third and fourth on 74 and 72 points respectively will represent Zambia in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Eagles steal the spotlight as they will be making their continental debut.

They are also the first club from the Southern Province to play in Africa and achieved that just eight years after making their top flight debut.

Eagles beat Zesco 1-0 on October 13 at home in Choma brushing off a late threat from Zanaco who have settled for a fifth place finish and will not play continental football for the first time since 2015.

The continental preliminary round matches will commence in during the week of November 27 after the draws are conducted at the end of the 2018 CAF Champions League final, last leg on November 9.

  1. Nice but GBFC and GE are local competitors just like the way a second born fights the first born and in certain cases even beats him or her but when attacked by an outsider even a small boy or girl easily beats him.
Let’s have a change of competitiveness this time and win the two cups this time.
