Kitwe United bosses salute successful 2018 season

Share

Kitwe United Chairperson Gabriel Akayombokwa is pleased with his team’s performance in the just ended 2018 FAZ Super Division season.

Chingalika finished 13th in the league with 46 points from 38 matches.

It is the only promoted side to have stayed in the top league this year.

Akayombokwa said Kitwe performed well this season and have the potential to do better in 2019.

“A big thanks to the players and supporters. It was not easy but we picked lessons,” he said.

“I am not disappointed as you know we are the only team from the four promoted sides to remain in the Super Division,” Akayombokwa said.

Kitwe had spent 10 years in Division One prior to returning to the big league this year.

“People should expect more next season. I think sparks will be seen at Chingalika next season” he concluded.

  1. I hear Lumwana Radiants SG, Besa Kansumba, Gwen Chintu deputy SG and Mutemwa Malambo VC Admin have all relinquished their positions because of misappropriation of club finance and gross incompetence. This is good news as the duo were an obstacle to proper and good management of the club. Aluta continuaaa, Radiants..!!!

  2. Watching the final first leg tie of the CAF champions league must send chills in the Zambian teams that will compete next season. Please this league is not for time wasters. This is the right time to strengthen the team .
Meanwhile power my team when are the elections. We have tolerated too much mediocrity.

  3. Chair the performance for Kitwe was below par. What is the difference in points for you and the 16th placed team. Do your analysis as the executive I mean start preparing yourselves from that advise. Goal keeping okay defence midfield and striking force Kaya. Timely criticism avoid champions league in 2020.
