Walter Bwalya: Nkana will fight for continental redemption

Share

Nkana captain and striker Walter Bwalya insists they will redeem themselves and qualify to the group stage of the 2018/2019 CAF Confederation Cup after failing to reach the league phase of the 2018/2019 CAF Champions League.

Nkana now have one more shot at group stage qualification after they were demoted to the CAF Confederation Cup following their pre-group stage elimination from the CAF Champions League at the hands of Simba SC of Tanzania.

The Zambian giants will face FC San Pedro of Cote d’Ivoire in the first leg at home on January 12 and travel to the port city of San Pedro for the final leg on January 19 to decide who qualifies to the group stage that kicks off in February.

“Of course our target was to qualify to the group stage of the CAF Champions League but we didn’t manage, so we don’t have an excuse for the Confederation Cup. It is a must,” Bwalya said.

“What is important is to finish the game here. We we must work in each and every area of our game and kill the game here so that when we go to Ivory Coast, it will just be a formality game.”

Every one expects such words from a captain but ACTION IS WOOOOOOOOOO…BETTER U WITHDRAW THAN BEING BEATEN BY IVC CLUB AS THEY WILL COME FULL FORCE TO REVENGE ON 2012 AFCON THAT ZAMBIA WON YAMALILISHO by even featuring a congolese who scored the winning penalty- Since u won the truth was revealed in following YEARS WITH NO QUALIFICATION TO AFCON as foreign players in chipolopololo are no longer playing any better
