  1. Why himself? what of the wife the mother of the son? abaiche aba! what he wanted was to have an allowance, in the name of being on duty. Wamona!!! walusha ulupiya ka!

    • Please let some of these comments reflect maturity and understanding. The man was a widower. You are talking about his wife?

    • @Zondwa,
The Doc was a widower – meaning he lost his wife already. Now that the son was being evacuated it means he was seriously ill and NO SANE MAN CAN WITHSTAND THE LOSS OF TWO BELOVED ONES. He wanted to make sure that he is close to his son and render any needed assistance since he is a Doctor too.
May be you have never lost a beloved one and do not understand the sorrow for you to insinuate that he was after allowances.

  2. Who escorts an Ambulance? He might as well have driven his sick son all by himself. I am sure these are the same people asking patients to speak Tonga before being attended to.

  3. Too bad indeed. Guys , let’s mind our comments. Its an not easy experience to lose a loved one. I can’t imagine how affected he was feeling @ the time he was escorting the ambulance. I am a widower too and I understand how it feels when my kids are sick. I pray for quick recovery of the sick boy. May ur soul rest in peace my dear brother.

  4. Zambian drivers are not safe on the roads. The number of accidents caused by irresponsible truck and bus drivers is unacceptable. RATSA should be held accountable for road accident deaths. They do not issue truck, bus, motor bike and vechile licenses in accordance with the law. The truck driver in this accident most likely did not pass his specialist vehicle driving test. It is most likely he did not know how to emergency stop a truck
It is most likely he did not know the hazards to be aware of when driving a truck. No one should be able to bribe an official for a driving license, especially a truck driving license. It is dangerous! If one has not passed the driving test it means you cannnot drive on the road. It means you could cause an accident that results in deaths!

  5. Honestly how can a normal person pass such comments, when you have already read that the late is a widower!!! Quick recovery to the patient and MHSRIP the late.

  6. When you decide to drive on a road in Zambia you should be aware that there 100% likehood you may die in a road accident. This is the fault of RATSA for issuing driving licences to people who have not passed the driving test. Recently I witnessed a bus driver over taking a truck on the Great North Road. There was no way the bus driver could see any vehicles in front of the truck that would be approaching in the lane to be used to over take. It was not safe to overtake the truck but this bus driver did not know that because he bribed a RATASA officer to obtain a driving liscence. The bus driver had not passed his driving test. RATSA needs to be held accountable!

  7. Ifipuba fingi mu Zambia!! No empathy at all. Wait until time catches up with you …be considerate and pay respect to the dead!!!!

  8. Mmmm, death is death and destiny is destiny. At New year’s Eve in Kabwe, a pair survived unhurt in near fatal road accident but as they were standing by the roadside, a vehicle in the middle of nowhere can and crushed the to death.
A year or two ago, a Kabwe RATSA Boss died in similar circumstances when he when on a Power Tools accident rescue mission only to be crushed by a heavy tonnage of maize bags.
So when you’re destined to die Young, you’ll surely have to no matter how hard you try to avoid it.
Therefore all we need to say is REST IN PEACE and of course not forgetting we still await our own fateful day.
WETHER WE LIKE IT OR NOT, WE ARE ALL DESTINED TO DIE ONE WAY OR ANOTHER.

  9. Condolences to the families of the doctor and that of his late wife. Quick recovery to the son in hospital.
I agree with those condemning Ratsa, because some of the license holders z driving leaves much to be desired. Therefore, let’s do something to prevent these fatal accidents even as we know that fate or destiny is there according to God’s will. Eccl 3 : 1-3
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. Paul says to be absent in body is to be present with God.

  10. Burial taking place in chikankata, the body is already there. We are strarting off from lusaka at 06 hours tomorrow. MSRSIEP.
