Gift Kampamba leaves Lumwana bench

Ex-Zambia and Nkana midfield star Gift Kampamba has left his post as Lumwana Radiants assistant coach.

This follows the arrival of new head coach Osward Mutapa Jr who has come with his own assistant.

Kampamba had a running contract up to December 2019.

“The club has asked Kampamba to leave after Mutapa came with an assistant coach. Of course they will be paying him,” a source close to the development said.

Lumwana chairman Nkumbu Sinkolongo could neither confirm nor deny the development.

Kampamba joined Lumwana as an assistant to Zeddy Saileti in June 2017.

“I have a running contract with Lumwana so I can’t say much,” the former Nkana assistant coach said.

Meanwhile, John Munkonje has retained his role as an assistant coach at Lumwana.
