President Lungu has demonstrated faith in youths and young people -Mwamba

President Edgar Lungu confers with Zambian High Commissioner to South Africa Emmanuel Mwamba at Chilenje House the National monument, the House Kaunda use to stay shortly before the two Presidents tours House in Chilenje

Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa Emmanuel Mwamba says President Edgar Lungu has demonstrated faith in youths and young people by giving them key and sensitive positions of leadership and authority.

Mr. Mwamba said that the crop of Cabinet Ministers and those others holding senior positions were among the youngest in the life of the nation.

He said President Lungu recognized that young people were the majority of the population and it is for this reason that he included them in national affairs.

He was speaking when he received Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) youths who have travelled to Pretoria for an African youth camp meeting.

The meeting has attracted over 800 youths that have traveled from Zambia to South Africa.

Mr. Mwamba also urged the young people to be ambassadors of peace and unity.

He said the people of Zambia were Zambians first and they should not allow politics, religion or tribes to divide them or make them abandon loyalty and patriotism to the nation.

He appealed to the young people to be disciplined, focused and determined so that they could realise their dreams.

And Deputy High Commissioner, Mr. Maynard Misapa said senior leaders in all spheres of leadership were keen to pass on the button to young people that were disciplined.

He urged the young people to place God at the centre of their lives if their dreams were to be achieved.

And one of the delegation leaders, Pastor Angel Chipulu expressed gratitude for the warm reception they were accorded.

He said the Church was determined to produce young people that feared God, and abstained from harmful vices that destroy young people.

This is contained in a statement issued to the media by First Secretary for Press and Public Relations at the Zambian High Commission in South Africa Naomi Nyawali.

  1. Mwamba why do you continue cheating his man. Yes those Copperbelt bandits are happy. Do they pay tax?

How are they helping the economy? God help this situation. Are the youths truly happy? Say 5 million against 100 bandits? Have mercy on Zambia.

    Thanks

    • Emmanuel,
Ba Edgar said he is getting tired of being insulted.
Here you go again mocking him. Mockery of Ba Lungu is more than insults.
Same if Ba Edgar tells you Mwamba that he is aware of Seventh day Advertist Youth Camp, then it’s an insult to young people.
