Patriotic Front (PF) Secretary General Hon Davies Mwila says a larger part of North Western Province has not seen much development because in 2016, electorates in the region voted for a party (UPND) whose leadership punishes and expels its elected officials that choose to work with government in fostering development.

“The opposition can not bring township roads. The opposition can not bring schools. The opposition can not bring health posts. The opposition can not bring boreholes so that you can access clean water because UPND president Hakainde Hichilema has directed his elected officials never to work with government.

“Not too long ago, he suspended and expelled the then UPND Kafue Council Chairperson Thomas Zulu for having joined His Excellency, President Edgar Chagwa Lungu during a cleaning exercise at the district marked! We are coming from a by-election in Kafue as a result of that decision and we won the by-election,” announced Hon Mwila.

And the Secretary General says in the coming days, he will meet with former UPND Vice President Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba to strategise on how the ruling party can further dismantle the opposition political party.

On Tuesday, 23 April, 2019, Mr Mwamba resigned from the UPND and announced his decision to rejoin the Patriotic Front at a Press Conference held at his Plot 187 Luanshya Road, Villa Elizabeth property amidst great jubilation from hundreds of his supporters who defected together with him.

Mr Mwamba has resolved to work with the Head of State in ensuring that Hakainde Hichilema does not rule Zambia in the next 40 years.

“Now I need my supporters to guide me on the way forward. We have three options here because I believe in democracy – I have three questions for you; should we form our own political party, join an opposition political party or do I take you back to PF?” Asked Mr Mwamba amidst great jubilation, clenched Fists and shouts of PF.

Meanwhile, Hon Mwila has reiterated that contrary to social media speculation, the Patriotic Front has welcomed the former UPND Vice President with open arms and that the ruling party is keen to work with Mr Mwamba in its grassroots mobilisation.

Speaking from Kalumbila district in North Western Province, Saturday, where he was receiving over 1000 defectors from the opposition UPND, MMD and FDD including 13 Headmen, the ruling party CEO applauded the Jackson Kungo led provincial party leadership for their active mobilisation in the region.

“I commend you Chairman Kungo, member of the Central Committee, for your committee’s hardwork and dedication to party mobilisation which has resulted in the PF’s victory in the majority of the by-elections held here in North Western. We now have 12 new Councillors on the PF in the region and soon, I will be coming back to meet and encourage them as we mobilise the party towards the 2021 general elections. We must remember that the strength of any political party is in its ability to effectively mobilise and win the elections,” announced Hon Mwila.

SG Mwila has thanked His Royal Highness, Chief Matebo of the Kaonde speaking people, the Indunas and other traditional leaders who attended the party mobilisation exercise for their continued support.

Indunas who attended the meeting includes Kayamba, Shitonyi, Shilenda, Shamaoma and Kapempa. And other group leaders were Kyangakyanga, Mukonga, Njifupa, Kasambala, Kapiji, Sambulu, Ndembi, Bulo, Kolala, Kiboko, Kitakwa, Kakoshi, Kisulo, Kasongo, Kipaya, Mwanante, Mwepu and Kilabisho.

Hon Mwila was accompanied by member of the Central Committee Annie Kayula and the Deputy Media Director Antonio Mwanza.

  1. Very stupids statement. Government takes development to Zambian people, not because of the area MP. MPs work with local people to supervise. Which MP in Zambia made government build a hospital in the area, or a secondary school? These go with populations not MPs. Failure by PF or punishing villagers due to their smart votes should not be attributed to area MPs. There’s no money to build anything. There’s no government in Zambia. There’s no president in Zambia. The country is on auto pilot.

    • To resolve this in future, all MPs/Constituencies should be allocated equal funding regardless of their political affiliation.

Mr SG, may remind you that the peoples living in those places are not classified as “Opposition”, but are “Zambians” and deserve better.

      Please STOP cheap politicking.

      God Bless Zambia.

  2. Good morning trib.als, what is your agenda for today?
Yesterday some sill.y trib.al asked why the nation hates the chief trib.al so much. No one hates the chief trib.al but what is hated is his trib.al agenda. Every hates trib.al agenda because of the trib.al wars that he will bring in trying to impose a selected trib.e as superior.

    • Allowing a this tribe that tribe this talk to continue is the failure of LT. LT you have the power to stop this stupidity. We are all Zambians regardless of who wins, Zambia must win. If we continue with tribal debacles, then Zambia has lost!

  3. Hahahaha. Which Province is more developed between Luapula and North Western Provinces? A couple of weeks ago, we were being told Roan and Bahati are not developed because they were under certain PF MPs.

We can’t move forward as a nation when you have the ruling party CEO with such retrogressive thinking.

  4. You probably know by now why trib.als are not attending the NDF? Simple, trib.als want an item on the agenda which will give trib.als a turn to rule this country. But they are too scared to say it openly, but we cannot all guess like upnd cadre can we? And therein lies the problem, how do Zambians know what they want? And the question is why are they hiding the truth of what they want? If you can answer last question honestly then you will see the evi.l danger of giving power to trib.als

  5. Discrimination on the basis of tribe, race, religion or political affiliation is wrong! When you deny citizens development because they voted for opposition, that is no longer democracy but something worse than Economic Apartheid! If you read the job description of an MP, it does not include Development! It is the job of GRZ to take development to ALL corners of the country! What the PF SG has confirmed is that PF has NO Development plan for the country! Since most of the mines are in Northwestern province and contributing 70% to our treasury, doesn’t the SG see the problem of Mushala coming back? By robbing Northwesterners of their resources and denying them development, you are creating a time bomb for your own children who will suffer reverse discrimination! What did we do to end up…

  6. Hon. Davies Mwila you’re a disgrace to the Zambians and to the PF government. Mr. Mwila as a secretary general you should be the first one to know that it is not a constitutional right for MPs to develop constituencies or areas, but city councils, rural councils, local government. The function of MP is a making laws and to speak on behalf of people in constituency the problem they face; like government workers not being paid on time. This just shows how power is abused and how you have depraved the resources to the people of NorthWestern Province for not voting for PF. Is that what it means to be a minister or an MP. You’re totally a disgrace sir. Your are a government of every Zambian regardless of political affiliation. Sir, as MP your job is not to develop an area, leave that to…

    • What do Zambians expect from this “6 Points fraud intellectual” who started School @ age 7, & finished after buying his “6 Points” @ age 65.
Zambians are really dreaming, if they expect such calibre to develop the nation.
THE GUY BA MWILA, IS AS THICK AS 2 MINCE PIES!

  7. the useless pf must go because they dont know what to do anymore. luapula, eastern and other parts of the country have never been under opposition but they too lack development. now can fools explain why it is so. just admit you have failed kuyabelele steating has been too much . you can see that those that are used to stealing are coming back to steal last coins in the coffers of the nation . truth is any one who left pf sited corruption and stealing as reason for doing so. mr just keep quite.

  8. May I add that as the controversial NDF is revising the constitution, can they add a clause that guarantees and safeguards equitable distribution of national resources irrespective of political affiliation!
Unfortunately, this undemocratic ideology started with the late Michael Chilufya Sata! What is surprising is how Zambians allowed this discrimination to take root in our country! When you only take development to your strongholds, we can as well do away with the One Zambia One nation motto! It’s now one Zambia, many nations. A house divided against itself cannot stand!!!

  9. So this is the guy with 6 points ka? What a mess. By his own admission he is saying that a party in government will use government instruments to disadvantage opposition areas in terms of NATIONAL development. They are breaking all manner of laws including human rights!!! AS A GOVERNMENT!!! Why are we still tolerating these fo.ols mwa wantu kansi!? Ine cinidabwisa maningi mwe!
