Former Vice President for the United Party for National Development Mr Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba has described opposition leader Mr Hakainde Hichilema as a troubled soul in need of healing.
Mr Mwamba said that he was convinced beyond any reasonable doubt, having worked with HH for four years, that the opposition leader is not worthy of being President because the man is a Mr Know it all who never listerns to advice.
Mr Mwamba said this during a live radio program on radio Mano in Kasama last evening.
Mr Mwamba further dismissed as ridiculous speculations that he has been paid by the PF to discredit the UPND stating that his politics have always been such that he gives and not takes just as he funded the UPND excessively.
He stated that even when he was in UPND, he used to fund that Party just as when he was in PF previously and therefore his rejoining of the Patriotic Front is purely due to the conclusion that PF and President Lungu is way better than HH and UPND.
He stated that the frequency with which HH discards Vice Presidents in UPND is proof of a man who fails to work with others which is one of the surest signs of bad leadership. He has advised the members of the UPND to seek alternative leadership.
Mr Mwamba has described President Lungu as a selfless leader who has plenty humility.
Mr Mwamba who once served in the Patriotic Front government as Defence Minister says having worked with President Lungu for several years, he would safely say the Head of State is definitely better than Hichilema who he deputised in the UPND.
Mr Mwamba urged the People of Zambia to appreciate the impeccable leadership of President Lungu.
And Mr Mwamba has apologized to the President and the Patriotic Front membership for the unpalatable language he sometimes used against them whilst in the UPND.
He further said that his decision to rejoin the PF was purely because he had realized his mistake at having gone to the UPND and not that he was job seeking in PF.
He said he would work hard with the PF leadership to ensure UPND is sent into oblivion.
Mr Mwamba was last week suspended from the United Party for National Development and has since resigned from that Party to rejoin the Patriotic Front where he served as Defence Minister a couple of years ago.
