The Patriotic Front in Lusaka Province has issued Lusaka lawyer Kelvin Bwalya Fube a seven day ultimatum to exculpate himself for alleged insubordination.
The party says failure to do so will compel it to recommend to the party’s Central Committee for his expulsion.
Mr. Fube has also been requested to appear before the Lusaka provincial disciplinary committee on Thursday 9th May 2019 at 10:00.
The Party has also asked outspoken PF member Julius Komaki to appear before the Lusaka Province Disciplinary committee tomorrow, 8th May 2019, on charges of indiscipline and insubordination.
In a letter jointly signed by Provincial Chairman Paul Moonga and Provincial Secretary Kennedy Kamba, the Party in the Province has asked the duo to appear for a hearing.
The Provincial Chairman said Messrs Fube and Komak have allegedly attempted to undermine the presidential powers of appointment and have been causing confusion in the party.
The Party in the Province has asked the two to show cause why the disciplinary committee should not recommend for their expulsion from the party.

UPND cadres have defected to the ruling PF.
Moonga who was once in PF announced his resignation at a rally addressed by President Lungu in Chawama on Sunday.
He told President Lungu that he had decided to go back to PF because Hakainde Hichilema the leader of UPND lacks direction to be able to govern the country.
Moonga who said he hails from the same village with Hichilema has observed that he is inconsistent. He said Hichilema was now supporting the same things he condemned before.
He charged that Hichilema was constantly inconsistent and that President Lungu was a better leader with humility and capable of uniting the country.

Nothing wrong with anyone contesting the presidency, it is any person’s right. But ababena comes out & says the party must remove the encumbert & put me instead. Like through a meeting (the way certain parties elect a president). It does not work like that. Rather say you will challenge at the convention. You don’t expel people for challenging the status quo and hide behind terms like gross indiscipline and insubordination. You encourage competition and let these individuals exercise their democratic rights within the party.

ECL and Davis Mwila should handle KBF very carefully because there are many unhappy people in PF who are not eating and expelling him will further split the party.
My advice to PF is let KBF continue rumbling so that you project a party that is democratic, and then at the party conference just rig the election the same way you did in 2016. So please ignore this KBF, all these expulsions just create free press time for KBF and more people will be interested in his message.

What’s the point of exculpating themselves and appearing before the committee if they have already been adjudged to have committed an offence? Who advises these people? You are meant to proffer charges first, and then these have to be proven before the committee – with a fair hearing and right to be heard.
