Kitwe Mayor Christopher Kang’ombe says he will seek legal advice on whether to appear before the National Dialogue Forum (NDF) Standing Committee or not.

Mr Kang’ombe told journalists in Lusaka that he was served with the letter to appear before the NDF today at 14:08 hours.

He explained that he first saw the directive circulating on social media and waited for the official letter from the NDF which has only be served today.

Mr Kang’ombe added that he could not appear today because the letter said the committee needed him at 09:45 hours but it was only delivered to him at 14:08 hours this afternoon.

On Tuesday this week Luangeni Area Member of Parliament Charles Zulu raised a point of order that Mr Kang’ombe was not in order to take matters of the forum to the public.

Mr Zulu, who also laid before the forum an edition of the Times of Zambia newspaper and asked the National Dialogue Forum Chairperson, Professor Muyunda Mwanalushi to render a serious ruling.

  1. What kind of court is NDF to send Chris to jail? Does it fall under ConCourt or Local Court?
This NDF-national assembly sounds like the government system in Bengazi, another one in Tripoli.

    • At least this small boy ng’ombe is learning that you don’t just run around to go & report things, you might be reporting not knowing that the people you are reporting are actually pushing the agenda of the same person you run to. Careful baiche. Kujumpha jumpha thinking you are the favourite, you will discover that favourires bengi. Dont trust a politician who wants total control

  2. I don’t have details if really Kitwe mayor committed a crime. He is a hardworker but of course his weaknesses is immaturity. But let them spare the guy

    • How is a hard worker imwe.? Far from it..! Kitwe today is very filthy to say the least. The guy lacks innovations. But yes, he is among the good talker and naturally likable. Actually he is just fortunate.

  3. Which legal advice and from whom if not from the humble recipient of the leakage?

  4. NDF as initials sounds scary. It is like National Defense Force… awe stop this mwe. It has a dire foreboding about it.
