PF has delivered development everywhere-Peter Daka

Share

Msanzala PF Member of Parliament Peter Daka says the PF government deserves re-election because they have delivered development everywhere.

Mr Daka said there is no part of Zambia that has not been touched by any form of development.

He said the PF under has constructed roads, built clinics and hospitals and installed communications towers across the country.

Mr Daka was speaking in Msanzala on Tuesday when he commissioned a Zamtel network tower at Misolo Primary School.

“President Lungu promised when he came here that he will bring development without leaving anyone behind and this is what is happening today. We are here launching this tower as testimony of that promise by His Excellency President Edgar Chagwa,” Mr Daka said.

At the same event, Zamtel Chief Executive Officer Sydney Mupeta announced that 790 new towers have so far been erected countrywide

Mr Mupeta said Zamtel is confident it will complete the installation of the remaining towers as part of the 1009 towers by end of the year.

He said access to communication services in the rural areas is helping transform livelihoods.

Mr Mupeta said farmers are now able to negotiate for better prices for their produce as they are now talk to different buyers using the mobile phone.

“I wish to inform you that the site we are launching today is part of the 1009 communication towers which Zamtel has been erecting in different parts of the Country mainly in rural areas as part of Phase II of the GRZ Communication Towers project. So far, this project has delivered over 790 new sites with Msanzala receiving 8 new towers, one of which we are commissioning today at Misolo,” Mr Mupeta said

“As the GRZ Communication Towers project nears completion, we are confident that we will deliver the remaining few sites this year which is within the project schedule. Allow me to make a bold proclamation here by stating that once this project is fully completed, Zambia will have a near blanket coverage with regard to communication services,” he said

He added, “This means that almost all the corners of this beautiful Country will have access to communication services.”

    • I am a strong PF supporter for years, please hear me out. In Petauke both Msanzala and Petauke central are going either to the opposition or to independents. There is no development here to talk about, let us just be truthful with one another. The standards which the PF politicians are using to proclaim development in these areas are at variance with the expectations and aspirations of the local people

  2. “..Msanzala PF Member of Parliament Peter Daka says the PF government deserves re-election because they have delivered development everywhere……”

Thats like an unemployed PHD student who used his families savings to study bragging to his starving family of how educated he is…….

  3. Definition of development for some of our leaders is very myopic. These are basic services that we expect govt to do. Why boast when you are doing a job that you were paid to do? MPs, Ministers, and all civil servants are servants of the people and so nothing strange. Question is: do people have enough food on their tables and equal and diverse opportunities to flourish in their own country? Do they have a voice to speak about the wrong of leaders? Do they have enough security beyond active work life to enjoy their pension? These are the issues we must be focusing on 56 yrs post independence. Some countries have built reserves to pay pensioners who are not yet born. But you hear development even when govt builds vimbuzu (toilets). Just work and let people judge for themselves.

  4. Very true my brother. Only a blind tribal upnd diasporan cannot see this development because they cannot even afford to buy ticket to travel to Zambia to see the development. Watch on youtube you f00ls

  5. Under what stone have Daka and Mupeta been living the last months? There is hardly any development to speak of. More price increases, more potholes, more unemployment – thank you so much M. Lungu! And the Zamtel signal is non-existent just 15km from Lusaka! Job well done – NOT

  6. I don’t think Peter Daka is at a level where he would know what constitutes development, to him when he sees all this infrastructure from reckless borrowing coming up, it is development. He may not know what we use to measure the health of a country, not sure if he understands GDP, Inflation, exchange rate, reserves, GDP per capita, balance of trade. Lets just forgive these guys, it might not be their fault for saying what they are saying

  7. Remember at some time we had one Japhen Mwakalombe saying the economy is doing very well only for the President to clarify the following week that Zambian economy was heavily changed. These guys say anything

  8. This politician might not even have an idea that Zambia has been identified as the fourth hungriest country in the WORLD.

  9. If it were in developed countries, PF was going to resign on their own, because all economic indicators are in negative. And the truth is that MMD left the economy in a very decent state. Zambia ‘s economic stats became negative even before Covid 19. In reality the election in August should be a no contest at all, the country is worse than the PF found it.

  10. If there was development, were you going to be begging from IMF and flashing out money at rallies trying to buy people.

  11. Can we please put in place a government that will specialize in action once in government and remove this one that just specializes in talking. How can a serious government in the whole entire world fail to pay a paltry 27 million dollars to pay for electricity from South Africa. And if you are working, it is the people to say it, not yourselves.

  12. inflation record high: PF 22% – MMD 6%
Exchange rate Kwacha to a dollar : PFK 22- MMD K6
GDP growth :PF negative – MMD positive
Reserves :PF depleted – MMD Healthy
Fuel per liter :PF K16 – MMD K7
Mealie meal price :PF K170 – MMD K30
Public order Act :PF Opposition not allowed to assemble – MMD opposition allowed to assemble

  13. And this Peter Daka is even MMD himself. He can see the deterioration on the economy from where MMD left things. This is a worse and one does not need to be a rocket scientist to see the state of despair

  14. PF you blew up your own chance. You failed to work, this is not what you promised us, is there more money in people’s pockets obviously a big No, is there employment obviousiy another big No, so why do you want to stand again when you can give the answers yourselves that you fail short by far in your 10 year tenure

  15. Is this the 2 billion kwachas man? Kwena pa Zed we are just so naive or just priority starved. These guys should not be anywhere talking about leadership or development.

  16. Ati development ”without leaving anyone behind”, parroting words of his master’s word. I don’t know whether Mr Daka and his Excellence both understand the statement ”without leaving anyone behind”. We have towns and villages where there are no classrooms, pupils still learning under a tree, and if there is any classroom then they would be sitting on the floor; and you are talking about development ”without leaving anyone behind”, really? really?

  17. Definitely indisputable. Every corner has a very well developed local population suffering from malnutrition & facing economic despair. At national level, PF have certainly developed our debt to unsustainable levels. We totally agree with you there. Inflation highly developed to unprecedented levels while medical stores has developed to store honeybee products. Well done….

  18. LUNGA DISTRICT AND THE ENTIRE BANGWEULU WETLANDS REGION NEED THESE TOWERS. WHEN ONE IS ON LAKE BANGWEULU, ON CANALS AND THE VILLAGES OF LUNGA DISTRICT AND THE ENTIRE BANGWEULU WETLANDS REGION THAT IS THE END OF COMMUNICATION. SHOULD THE WATER VESSEL CAPSIZE ON LAKE BANGWEULU DEFINITELY THAT THE END LIFE FOR THE ENTIRE CREW AND PASSENGERS DUE TO ZERO COMMUNICATION ON THE ABOVE MENTIONED AREAS. PLEASE, WE NEED COMMUNICATION TOWERS ON LAKE BANGWEULU AND THE ENTIRE WETLANDS REGION.
    THANK YOU.

  19. OBVIOUSLY HE THINKS MSINZALA IS THE WHOLE OF ZAMBIA ! HERE THERE ARE NO ROADS, NO CLINICS, POOR NETWORK THE LIST GOES ON ……………………………………………..

  20. Peter Daka doesn’t know what devt means. Do Zambians have money in their pockets? Prices of Goods and Services have skyrocketed,People can’t afford to buy basic needs, they can’t buy medicines and can’t send their children to school? So what devt is Peter Daka talking about? While People have little money PF Cadres are flash with bundles of money to buy votes. People are Angry and Hungry and want change in their lives.

  21. Shameful! Has Peter Data been to Barotseland (Western Province): how many roads & how many kilometres of road net work, health posts, solar hammer mills, cattle restocking, and canals???

No single road under link 8,000. Nothing!. None!. Noto!. Hakuna!
so, what sort of development everywhere???

  22. There must be a maintenance sttartergy or plan as well because with choked drains and pooling of water on some roads or others maintenanable issues those gains being made could be erroded simply look at the northmead chilulu Garden market road that was nice now because of drainage and poor conservation of mass and energy on that road in drainage that could have been up to that standard the road has erroeded because of floads and pooling

Maintenace both planned and un planned please on those infrustructure projects and lets policy and monitor the application of construction standards to ensure longevity of infrustruction and critical infrustructure projects

  23. almost 48hours no electricity in woodlands about 3 days ago, today no electricity since morning apa ni 21 still theliz no…repeated issues of lack of power supply. PF and LUNGU can’t deliver electricity. WE TURN OFF PF LIGHTS IN AUGUST PERMANENTLY….LUNGU AND PF MUST GO ALA

  24. PETAUKE DISTRICT CONSTITUENCIES ALL MPS SHALL BE RETAINED UNDER PF THEY ARE VERY MUCH UNITED AND HAVE DELIVERED DEVELOPMENT TO THEIR CONSTITUENCIES BEING THE HOMETOWN FOR HE.ECL. PLEASE HON.DAKA CONTINUE THE GOOD WORKS AND LET UR FIRENDS FROM PETUAKE CENTRAL AND KAFUMBWE MPS LEARN FROM YOU SIR
