FAZ DIV 1: Mighty Back To Winning Ways

Mighty Mufulira Wanderers posted their first win in four games to stay second on the FAZ National Division 1 table.

Wanderers bounced back with a 4-0 win over Barts FC at home in Mufulira over the weekend to stay in the race for promotion to the topflight league.

The Shinde Stadium outfits had lost twice and drawn once prior to thumping Barts in the Week 25 match played in Kantanshi Mine Township.

Forward Clive Biyeta scored a brace with Joseph Mumbi and Patson Kwataine contributing a goal each.

Meanwhile, leaders Trident saw their lead cut from seven to five points by rampant Mighty.

Trident forced a goalless draw away at Livingstone Pirates in the Tourist Capital on Sunday.

The Kalumbila club sits on 49 points from 25 matches played.

Young Buffaloes moved into third place following a 2-1 win over Aguila.

Mutondo Stars are number four after holding Zesco Malaiti Rangers to a 1-1 draw away in Lusaka.

Mutondo have 41 points, just one behind third placed Young Buffaloes.
