Lesotho Wary of Hosts Chipolopolo

Lesotho assistant coach Leslie Notsi has declared that his team is in Zambia to compete favourably against the Chipolopolo in Thursday evening’s 2023 Africa Cup qualifier at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

At a pre-match media briefing held at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, Notsi said Lesotho are looking forward to the Group H match against Zambia.

He predicted a tough match against Chipolopolo after branding Zambia as a good team.

“We are looking forward to the game and it is a game that we know is not going to be easy for Lesotho but we are coming here to compete. We are here to compete,” Notsi said.

“We have prepared ourselves knowing that we are playing against a very good team (Zambia). The players are ready. We have done everything that we can as the technical team to prepare the players so that we can be a very competitive team tomorrow evening,” he said.

The match will kick off at 18h00.

Ivory Coast lead Group H with four points followed by Zambia and Comoros, who are tied on three points each.

Lesotho are bottom of the group with one point in two matches played.
