Matambo calls for action against false claims

Copperbelt Province Minister Elisha Matambo has urged Police officers in the province to be alert and arrest those that are creating false stories of having their body parts missing.

Speaking at a Media briefing in Ndola, Mr Matambo said those that are creating false stories of body parts missing are instilling fear amongst the people which should come to an end.

He has assured the people in the province that they are safe and that the peace being championed by President Hakainde Hichilema is still prevailing throughout the province.

Mr Matambo said the province has known and experienced peace since 2021, and that no one has experienced any brutality in the province such as being tear gassed or attacked for wearing any party regalia.

The Minister has expressed sadness that people who claim their body parts are missing, when checked are found with their body parts intact.

He added that a person was killed because of these acts, hence the need to ensure that people bringing such confusion are arrested.

  1. This is the season for false claims
How many high ranking politicians are seeking betterments one way or another
    sadly we’ll never know

  2. Such silly claims wouldn’t be entertained in a serious country. What charge is reserved for missing private parts? Parliament will have to enact a law b4 you arrest innocent people
