Vice President arrives in Mansa

Vice President, Mutale Nalumango, has arrived in Luapula Province for a nine-days working visit.

The Zambia Air Force plane carrying the Vice President landed at Mansa Airport at around 17:40 hours this evening.

Addressing scores of Mansa residents that welcomed her at the Airport, Mrs Nalumnago urged the people of Luapula to re-elect President Hakainde Hichilema and all other candidates standing on the ruling United Party for National Development (UPND) ticket in the 13th  August, 2026 general elections.

She also called on Zambians to remain peaceful during and after the polls.

And Luapula Province Permanent Secretary, Prudence Chinama, told ZANIS that Mrs Nalumango’s visit provides an important platform for the people of Luapula to engage directly with her, share their views, appreciate the government’s development efforts and contribute to the continued transformation in the province.

Ms Chinama added that the Vice President’s visit also demonstrates the new dawn administration’s commitment to taking the government closer to the people, strengthening citizen engagement and ensuring development programmes continue to address the needs and aspirations of communities.

The Permanent Secretary states that the Vice President’s visit will also strengthen the partnership between government and the people, promote accountability in service delivery and reinforce the government’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.
