Government accords late Former Secretary to the Cabinet Joshua Kanganja an official funeral

PRESIDENT Lungu has accorded an official funeral to former Secretary to the Cabinet Joshua Kanganja, who died on Thursday at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) in Lusaka after an illness.

The Secretary to the Cabinet, Dr Roland Msiska, announced that Dr Kanganja, aged 67, will be buried in Lusaka on Tuesday, October 20 at the Leopards Hill Memorial Park. The church service will be held at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross.
Dr Kanganja served in five governments under Presidents Kenneth Kaunda, Frederick Chiluba, Levy Mwanawasa, Rupiah Banda and Michael Sata.

His final position was that of Secretary to the Cabinet in 2011, when he retired.

The funeral of the Late Dr Kanganja is at his farm house in Kabangwe off Great North Road near Saint Eugene DMI University.

State Honours Dr. Joshua L. Kanganja

His Excellency Mr Edgar Chagwa Lungu, President of the Republic of Zambia has accorded an official funeral to the Former Secretary to the Cabinet Dr. Joshua Kanganja who passed away yesterday Thursday, 15th October, 2015, at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) in Lusaka after an illness.
The Secretary to the Cabinet, Dr Roland Msiska, announced that Dr Kanganja aged 67, will be buried in Lusaka on Tuesday, 20th October, 2015 at the Leopards Hill Memorial Park. The Church Service will be held at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross.

Dr. Kanganja served in five governments under the following Presidents, namely:
Dr. Kenneth Kaunda
Dr. Fredrick Chiluba
Dr. Levy Mwanawasa
Mr. Rupiah Bwezani Banda and,
Mr. Michael Chilufya Sata.
Dr. Kanganja was a Law Graduate from the University of Zambia who served in various portfolios as follows:

Lecturer in the School of Law at the University of Zambia
Dean of the School of Law, University of Zambia
Permanent Secretary – Party Control Commission
Permanent Secretary – Ministry of Legal Affairs
Principal – National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA)
Permanent Secretary – Public Service Management Division
Chairman Public Service Commission

His final position was that of Secretary to the Cabinet in 2011 when he retired.
The funeral of the Late Dr Kanganja is being held at his farm house in Kabangwe area off Great North Road near Saint Eugene DMI University.
