The opposition MMD says it is not looking at entering into any alliances with any political parties ahead of the 2016 elections.

MMD National Secretary Mwamba Mbulakulima said the MMD does not need an alliance to win any election because it has rejuvenated.

He said the MMD is currently going through a reorganisation phase which has seen the former ruling party rejuvenated.

‘The Sole objective of any party is to form government and i don’t think there is anyone who forms a political party with a view to joining alliances or merging with other parties. That is a sign of weakness,’ Mr Mbulakulima said.

‘MMD will form government next year, although i don’t want to swallow my own words, just incase we enter into an alliance, it is not us to look for a partner, they will look for us,’ he said.

He said,’MMD is going through rejuvenation, MMD is going through reorganisation. If there is any party that is better placed to win an election, it is MMD, the way things stand today, there is no party which has emerged which is better placed that can actually boost of economic performance than the MMD.’

  1. “although i don’t want to swallow my own words, just incase we enter into an alliance, it is not us to look for a partner, they will look for us,’ he said. This is nonsense Mr Mbulakulima. It means you don`t know what you`re talking about.

  2. Who can even go into an alliance with MMD? MM yafwa kale. It went with the owners Arthur Wina, FTJ and LPM.
