Veteran coach Dick Ngwenya is dead.
The ex-Nakambala Leopards coach died in the early hours of Tuesday morning at his home in Chilenje South in Lusaka after an illness.
Ngwenya was until his death assistant coach at Napsa Stars o Wilson Mwale who worked under him at Nakambala before they were both sacked midway through the 2015 season.
His previous appointments include Kabwe Warriors where he had over three stints and led them to FAZ Super Division promotion in 2013.
Ngwenya also coached Kalulushi Modern Stars, Nchanga Rangers and Indeni including the defunct Railway Express.
How come i dont know him, well MHSRIP
@anyoko. Because you know the coaches for manu, Chelsea, baca……!!!hahahaha. And I am sure you don’t even know Kenneth malitoli or kalusha Bwalya. Tickled you! Have a great day
My coach, you have shown a lot of resilience and maturity. Its been a rough journey but you made it look like its the easiest.
You had great technical abilities and one of the best local Zambian coaches. My memories with Railway Express are still fresh. Am sure abena “”Sharp (Felix Chepeshi) there in LSK will form the team and mourn you with the utmost respect. The 2 of you with Masauso Mwale were following George Mungwa”s leadership and upheld them. MYSRIP.
R.I.P. my friend. You brought joy to us when you were at Warriors. I am sure other clubs where you have served have benefitted immensely from your football mind. You have left us your two boys to continue at Warriors.
Condolences to the family.
Fergurson , We shall truly miss your Technical knowledge and company. Rest in PEACE my friend.
