On Monday, February 15, road traffic authorities will start enforcing the law on the display of motor vehicle insurance.
This follows an ACT of parliament, passed last year to effect this.
And Road Transport and Safety Agency -RTSA- Acting Senior Public Relations Manager, Fred Mubanga says all motorists must therefore comply.
Mr. Mubanga has explained that there has been enough publicity for this requirement, hence the grace period up to February 14, 2016.
Meanwhile,the Zambia Police Service says it will not hesitate to met out punishment on its officers found engaging in corruption.
Police Principal Traffic Officer, Yoram Phiri says all traffic officers have since been enlightened on this measure.
Mr Phiri says time and again, traffic officers have been accused of engaging in corruption, however, the police command is working to reverse this public assertion.
He has since advised members of the general public to report any traffic officer found engaging in corrupt activities to the police command.
The corrupt parasitic ZP traffic police officers are already rubbing the hands with glee!!
Am sure most corrupt police men and women are looking forward to Monday.

Corruption in traffic offenses has been on the increase because of exorbitant charges that are meted on traffic offenders.If offenders go through normal channel of payment,they will pay more than they will bribe a traffic officer.Government should make fees for traffic offenses manageable by would be offenders.If fees are manageable,offenders will be willingly pay for their offenses.The traffic police have capitalised on exorbitant traffic fees to engage in corrupt practices.Most of the traffic offenses being charged are just beyond the offender hence attraction in corrupt activities.
Funny how ZP traffic cops all drive nice cars. May be the ACC should interrogate how ordinary cops end up walking while traffic cops end up driving
What was the need for this law? Were people being killed becaus3 cars had no insuranxe? Why require more displays on a car ‘s windscreen? Drivers need clear view not things that disturb their driving. Why pass more laws when the current ones can’t be enforced?
What you need is a database where the police can access all insured vehicles. I will display mine which was bought and printed in Matero and I can assure you it looks genuine!
