Nkana chop Forest to win 4 club tournament

Nkana won the inaugural Mafro Sports Four-Club tournament after beating Forest Rangers 1-0 in Sunday’s final played at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.

Striker Walter Bwalya’s third minute strike from close range was the difference between the two sides.

Kalampa’s triumph earned them a trophy and gold medals with Ndola side receiving silver medals.

Nkana reached the final after a 1-0 win over Lumwana Radiants in the second semi-final match on Saturday while Forest defeated Congolese side Don Bosco 1-0 thanks to a goal from Graven Chitalu.

Meanwhile, Lumwana Radiants won bronze at the tournament after beating Don Bosco 1-0 in the third and fourth play-off thanks to Hilary Bwalya’s 45th minute goal in this lunch-time match.

Allan Kamwanga’s club won bronze medals for their sweat at the two-day event.
