Chief Nkole has called on government to disband the Katanino settlement scheme in Kapiri Mposhi district because of abuse in the allocation of land.

And First Lady Esther Lungu has urged men to avoid extra marital affairs which she said have the potential to affect the economic growth of their families and the country at large.

Chief Nkole said the scheme was being abused and had been invaded by foreigners.

He said this when Mrs. Lungu paid a courtesy call on him during the Esther Lungu Foundation tour of the district.

The traditional leader also appealed to government to electrify his chiefdom.

“There is need to electrify this chiefdom so that schools can benefit and start offering computer lessons,” he said.

Chief Nkole added that there was need to ensure peace prevailed in the country in the forthcoming general elections.

He further encouraged the First Lady to continue humbling herself and being of service to the less privileged people in society.

And speaking to a huge crowd at Nkole primary school, Mrs. Lungu said there was need for men to avoid extra marital affairs so as to develop their families economically.

“Men should avoid using the money they get to drink beer and going for other women,” she said.

She said the money which some men spend on buying beer can be used to send their children to school and develop their families economically.

Meanwhile, the First Lady gave out K36, 000 to 12 women associations in the area.

  1. Kapiri Mposhi with it’s jutting Rock of a Mountain has potential to be a major Tourist attraction. No wonder foreigners are said to be ‘invading’ the area. The area has natural beauty but needs proper Town Planning to ensure buildings are built in an orderly way to add some order. Normally it’s a stopping/resting place for motorists going further to remote areas. When my family went on tours to Serenje to visit Granny, we always jumped for joy when we hit Kapiri Mposhi, and dad would get lyrical on the beauty of that Rock that juts out. Many people travelling in that direction share the sentiments on this national asset.

    • Because African/Zambian men refuse to take advice on fidelity and uncomplicated family arrangements seriously. They see AIDS as an honour they pass on to wives and children! Let them Boo, Wisdom is on her side.

  2. I was in kapiri and the upnd must be shaking because this woman brought kapiri to a standstill. Be realistic when reporting

  3. Lol Vera “HOPE FOUNDATION”; Maureen ” MM FOUNDATION” now Esther ” EL FOUNDATION” Kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!
