Swaziland book Cosafa quarterfinal date against Zambia

Zambia will face Swaziland in Sunday’s 2016 Cosafa Cup quarterfinals in Namibia.

Swaziland booked their June 19 date with the four-time champions after Wednesday evenings 1-0 win over Madagascar in Windhoek to finish top of Group A.

Felix Badenhorst headed-in the winner in the 72nd minute to send Swaziland to the Cosafa Cup quarterfinals for the first time since 2004.

Swaziland finished on 7 points, two more than record four-time champions Zimbabwe who won 4-0 over Seychelles but bow out in the preliminaries.

Madagascar exit on 4 points.

Zambia, who enjoyed a preliminary round bye, are due to land in Windhoek on Friday.

  1. Useless team. If our coaches have to be tested, we need to compete with teams like South Africa which can easily embarrass Zambia.

    • But we will still loose to the useless team you say, So what are we? toilet dump? Football is football. No wonder we have fallen so low with such thinking.

  2. it’s jus a disgracing for us maybe limited tym for trainin’ to get the most successful combination

  3. Sometimes learn from a distance, you do not have to suffer hardship for you to learn! Zambian coaches lose it at this stage. Mr Lwandamina was saying that you snub a player so that when he comes back he will want to prove a point. How do you select a player who has thrown you into mire? Why not snub such players so that others too prove a point. Do we see how thing go wrong if you do not heed others advise. True, not every advise will be implemented but the serious ones must be, especially that people are involved and there money is going to waste. They will talk louder and clear over team selection and management decisions. Vuka!! Wake up!!!!

  4. There was no friendly, no typical practice sessions, and no serious players that are ticking in the local league. I don’t know!!
