Nkana brace for 2016 Barclays Cup draws

Nkana are bracing themselves for the draws of the 2016 Barclays Cup to be conducted on Tuesday in Lusaka.

Coach Aggrey Chiyangi’s Nkana have bounced back to the Barclays Cup after missing last year’s edition.

Other teams in Tuesday’s draws are defending champions Green Buffaloes, Zesco United, Zanaco, Power Dynamos,Kabwe Warriors.

The rest are Konkola Blades, Zesco Victoria Falls, Nampundwe and Kabwe Academy.

“What is important for us is to look at the first game we will play in the Barclays Cup because we don’t know what the draws are going to bring out,” Chiyangi.

“Expectations are high as you know Nkana has never won the Barclays Cup. It is important for us to plan and prepare well maybe this is the year we could win the Barclays Cup,” the trainer said.

Nkana were losing finalist in the 2014 Barclays Cup.
