Figuring they’re all expendable, a U.S. intelligence officer decides to assemble a team of dangerous, incarcerated supervillains for a top-secret mission. Now armed with government weapons, Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Captain Boomerang, Killer Croc and other despicable inmates must learn to work together. Dubbed Task Force X, the criminals unite to battle a mysterious and powerful entity, while the diabolical Joker (Jared Leto) launches an evil agenda of his own.
PROS
- A great job was done on introducing the characters to the audience in the beginning of the film . A lot of Super Hero movies with ensemble casts take it for granted that everyone already knows the characters.
- Very interesting , original, unpredictable story-line .
- Excellent action and visual effects .
- The movie had a good dose of humour but still maintained a form of gravitas .
CONS
- There were some plot holes in the movie , for instance a certain hero was conspicuously absent while the fate of the plant was hanging in the balance.
- I would have liked to see more of The Joker (played by Jared Leto) as the character was heavily hyped in the build up to the movie.

CONCLUSION
Suicide Squad is a movie I had waited a long time to watch. It came with a lot of hype .Upon its release it was received with mixed reactions. Some loved it, some hated it.
As the movie begins you may feel like the story line will be predictable as it seems to be going in a leaner direction, but as it gets going there are a lot of twists and turns .
Will smith and Margot Margot Robbie both gave tremendous performances of the characters Deadshot and Harley Quinn respectively . The Harley Quinn character at first glance may seem to be frivolous and sexist, but as the movie progresses who a get a deeper appreciation for the her.
This being a super-hero movie, our “heroes” did not have super powers per se (apart from a few) . So it gave a sense of ordinary humans being faced with an extraordinary challenge as they took on the evil Enchantress .
Suicide Squad is a must watch movie for fans of the super-hero movie genre, it will certainly leave you with something to talk about.

Definitely agreed Suicide Squad doesn’t inherently represent a classic, and by its own rights, but perhaps over time perpetually it could be seen as one of DC’s “top dog” franchises, and David Ayer’s production in this film represents the concept of a suicide squad really taking off because it was presented in a believable way. Great review from Lusaka, and I’m glad I saw Suicide Squad in 2D, 3D, and XD cinema because “it’s just that finger-licking good!”
This movie was as bad as Batman Vs Superman. Am sticking to Marvel thank you very much.
