Former Mpika District Commissioner (DC) Catherine Chileshe has been arrested for portraying conduct likely to cause the breach of peace in Mpika district of Muchinga Province.

Mr. Daka said the former DC was arrested on 29th August 2016 after she threatened to deal with one Joseph Nkamba 40, of Trench Town in Mpika district.

    • My thoughts exactly. Enough of driving on the wrong side of the road at high speeds, jumping red traffic lights with impunity, sticking things on private cars without owners’ consent – the list is long and the police must quickly shorten this spate of illicit behaviors. You have been allowed to lead the country, not to usher lawlessness!

    • These are characters tarnishing the game of politics.
Mutanikeni so that others can learn something. Hopefully!

  1. Good move. Celebrating is allowed but the manner in which we celebrate also matters……peace is needed now more than ever

  2. Lets wait and see, this will lead to nothing. This is Africa after all. The laws favor the ones in power! Sick of this!

  3. this is not surprising, i believe when police arrest a PF member, that member has fallen out of favour and such a one is being used as a ‘fairly applied’ law when in fact not. i mean for police to arrest a senior member of PF who is a trusted member, that police officer is already calling for fire or transfer to some unknown place into obscurity.

  4. She is a mother who is suppose to embrace everyone (uphold peace) in the country or Community. what i know mothers embrace everyone in the family, Dunked hasband, shameful son or daughter. Please let as following this care to the end. we want to justice here so that other can learn. Ubukaka nipa NKanda pamobe. Do not flinch pair on others, it is very bad very bad.

  5. You reap what you sow! Zambian politics teach people to hate not to compete. If you sing and dance with the opposition you are perceived as a traitor thanks to people like Nevers Mumba renowned political prostitutes who change political parties as if they are changing underwear. We seriously need to change this mentality of hate during elections. The whole system has become a massive job recruitment exercise to a point where competitors are now becoming more desperate to win at all costs. Maybe we need to introduce parliament police to keep these MP’s in check. things are getting dangerously out of hand.
