Kang’ombe is new LGAZ president

Kitwe Mayor Christopher Kang’ombe has been elected President of the Local Government Association of Zambia.

Mr. Kang’ombe got 56 votes beating his close contender Theresa Maipambe who is Chilanga of district council chairman who got 42.

Mr. Kango’mbe was declared winner by presiding officer Monde Mukamba Mumba at about 13:30 hours.

This was at the LGAZ annual conference held at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola today.

  2. New Educated Zambia, there comes a time in life when money cannot save your soul. One progressive comment to make is that such meeting should not be held in a stadium. We should start thinking of constructing conference auditóriums across the country, where such meetings can be held. If Zambia loses on Sunday the blame will be on you.

  4. Even this indicates HH lost. My worry is when he’ll get out of the Don Quixote slumber and start campaigning for 2021
