#1 INXS, I HAVE JUST BEEN WONDERING TOO. BUT THANKS TO LUSAKA TIMES FOR PROVIDING THE LINK TO THE GAME. HAPPY THAT EGYPT HAS BEEN BASHED CLEAN AND PERHAPS TIME THEY ALSO MISSED THEY FAILED TO MAKE TO THE AFRICAN CUP OF NATIONS AND WORLD CUP LATER ON. WHAT DO YOU THINK?
“THEY ALSO FAILED TO MAKE IT”, Please IGNORE “they also missed”
Good lesson to Egypt. May their Souls Roast In Peace!
Zambia , we´re qualifying this time around !
guys i watched this game and i think algeria is good…we need to put everything and i mean everything to shame algeria.
Too early to start predicting. Lets take each game us it comes. Now our next big assignment is Algeria
#5. Let us hope so.
#5 operation, I’m almost persuaded too, but the biggest battle is beating either Algeria or Egypt in Chililabombwe. That will not be an easy encounter at any cost and chances of evening losing should not be dismissed! But if we manage another three full points from either of the two at home, we will have shouldered-off part of our burden as we play away games. Three more points at Chililabombwe will be a boast for the other stadium perhaps to be done at Dola Hill in time for SA 2010. This is possible but discipline will be paramount and no more missing penalties should be entertained.
There is 1 thing our coach can do. Find a very fast left winger. Most teams find it difficult on the left. To win we must be precise and fast at making balls. African football is very physical one can make the game count on set pieces. Individual show outs are killing zambian midfield, we need ineista vs xavi midfield with njovu and kalaba been most suited.
Ok peharps the beating of egypt by algeria-can be a blessing in disguise for us.so it means egypt have remained static at one point-so the next thing we can do for ourselves is to beat algeria so that we can have a three point advantage.but my only worry is our misfiring strike force.can they give us our much yearned for goals.i doubt.but mbesuma should not be let to come anywhare near the team infact he should just be sent to katombora reformatory to patch up his displine.
That could be good riddance if the pharaohs fail to make it this time and would be really interesting an African Cup without these chaps. I think their pyramid has crambled on their head and exerting more weight upon them. They were a shadow of themselves in the game. I envied the prolific Algerians!
Algeria shocked their North African rivals Egypt with a 3-1 triumph in Blida on Sunday.
Karim Matmour opened the scoring for the hosts in the 60th minute.
Goals from Abdelkader Ghezzal and Rafik Djebbour soon followed as the Desert Foxes opened a 3-0 lead over the six-times African champions.
Mohammed Aboutraika clawed one back from the visitors with three minutes to go, but it was nowhere near enough.
Algeria go top of the table with four points ahead of Zambia.
Egypt lie bottom, below Rwanda, with a solitary point.
The Pharoahs will hope to restore a semblance of hope to their 2010 World Cup campaign when they host Rwanda in a fortnight.
Algeria meanwhile travel to Zambia.
Still a long way to go. Lets not rely on our friends misfortune to think of qualifying. Thats our problem. Its all about mathematics! We need to qualify proper!
Where is Mayuka? He is to me the best goal scorer we have. Don’t understand how Chivuta got into the team. I’ve never, I repeat never seen him score lest even strike on goal. If we beat Algeria at home and Rwanda away (they are a defending side who become weaker when they attack) then try to draw the rest or win one of the other games we will qualify. Most attention should be on home game to Algeria and away to Rwanda. Please bring back Mayuka and Sunzu. Those are good players better than Chamanga and Chivuta. The anger in Mbesuma may bring the beast out of him. Especially against Egypt I would play him (physique).
i saw it coming ALGERIA beating EGYPT. The onus is on zambia beating the desert foxes in the upcoming fixtures with a good scoreline coz goal difference will count at somepoint. good lucky boz…
Let’s aim at collecting the 9 points at home, then another point or better in the two away gamez and worry less about wat happenz to otherz least of celebrate their misfortunes. But then our home victoriez must be with honourable goal score – lines, just in case we get to tie on points along the way.
To beat Algeria, Zambia will need the experienced professionals. Not home based players and over weight players like Mnesuma. I bet even I could have scored that penalty.
I wish we where playing at independence stadium becuase Egypt, Morroco and Algeria are said to be afraid of the Heroes that where layed to rest at the back of the stadium. Muslims respect the dead. Independence stadium could have given us that spiritual edge over them. Now we have to try and do it CB. YABA

Thanks for the update. Very well put.
I wish Chipolopolo all the best.
Long time ago I remember the inimitable Dennis Liwewe… ‘The Al(i)gerians move in… there is nobody there! … we are in maningi trouble!… they have scoooorrrred!’ I would not like to relive that day when Gor Mahia massacred Mufulira Wanderers 5-1! Since then I do not commit myself too much with Zambian teams until they come home with an international trophy.
Ala stop the bla bla bla,Algeria this year na shupa, those Arabs have no kind words for anyone,if we play like we did against Rwanda fikatuponona home ground…You all know we have always fallen short against Arabs ,Ba striker mukakishe Amabuti ba mambala and aim for the net….
