Mr Chanda says he wants Luanshya to be as clean as Kitwe and Chingola where the removal of street vendors has been done successfully.
He says Luanshya has enough land where vendors can trade freely.
Speaking at a Patriotic Front Interactive Forum in Luanshya, Mr Chanda said the removal of street vendors is aimed at bringing sanity to the town.
Meanwhile, Mr Chanda, who is also PF Copperbelt Youth Chairman, says the party has secured scholarships at a named college in Mufulira for youths to study various skills.
Mr Chanda says the youths will be trained in bricklaying, carpentry and other skills aimed at making them economically independent.
He also announced that in two months, the Patriotic Front will host a Provincial Youth Conference where 500 youths will be given capacity building in political education.

Lusaka needs this just as much as Luanshya. It would be helpful to hear what the mayor ha planned and in what sort of time frame to clean up the capital
