Transparency International Zambia President Reuben Lifuka has been elected as Global Transparency Vice President.
This is according to TIZ Executive Director Wesley Chibamba in a statement issued in Sunday evening.
“Mr. Rueben Lifuka has been elected Vice Chairperson today on the 15th of October 2017 at the elective Annual Membership Meeting (AMM) in Berlin, Germany,” the statement read.
Mr. Chibamba has described the outcome as a a historical chapter for Zambia.
“This is indeed a historical moment for Transparency International Zambia. The fight against corruption in Zambia just got bolder with a global insignia”.
The New President of the Global Anti Corruption watchdog is Delia Ferreira Rubio from Argentina.
She is the Former president of the Transparency International Chapter of Argentina.
Congratulations Reuben. Always believe you’ve got what it takes.
Kambwili is doing a better job in fighting corruption than these “Transparent” money making NGOs.
Kambwili has paralyzed PF, making PF president & Secretariat running around in provinces to rebuild image.
If local people cannot raise their own resources to fight corruption and other vices and instead expect outsiders to fund them, corrupt people will always stay ahead of everything.
This is not to take away from the excellent abilities of Reuben who I know and have worked with on a number of projects in the environmental sector …

Congratulations Reuben Lifuka on a deserved appointment. You are equal to the task! Please don’t take your eyes off the local corruption that has become endemic with Lungu’s government. Work with relevant authorities to expose ensure the culprits who continue to rape national resources and the national coffers do not go scot free! The corruption fight agenda in Zambia fanned from the highest office in the land ought to escalate from mere “naming” to shaming and prosecution.

I once interacted with Mr Reuben Lifuka during the Review Exercise of the current Constitution when it was at District level, I can confirm, as a well natured gentleman, he deserves this new position in his life. Congratulations son of Mother Zambia
