National Guidance and Religious Affairs minister Godfrida Sumaili has called on citizens to turn up in large numbers and attend in the Day of National Prayers tomorrow 18th of October 2017.

Reverend Sumaili says that the national prayers day was not in any way political but a day of thanks giving where every Zambian is expected to be part of the prayers and thank God for the many things that he had done for this country.

She said preparations for the Day of National Prayers countrywide were going on well adding that they had also sent invitation letters to everyone including the various opposition political parties.

The minister said this during the Patriotic Front Interactive Forum which was held in Ndola at Abiya Lodge, today.

She expressed her optimism that people would turn up in large numbers and participate in the National prayers.

The minister added that this was a time for reconciliation and thanks giving not for divisions and fights.

She stated that the Lord had done many things for this country adding that it was appropriate that this day should be observed.

Rev. Sumaili said the country had experienced love, peace and goodwill of which many countries were longing for.

  1. More like a PF rally than a day of prayer, If i had a way i would have removed this governmt out of office all by myself before they empty GRZ coffers.

  2. As a true patriotic Zambian that does not support any political Party, I am calling all Zambians to STAY AWAY from this farce dressed in religious clothes and NOT to turn up in large numbers and NOT to attend in the Day of National Prayers tomorrow 18th of October.

This call by the “Religious Affairs minister” Godfrida Sumaili is just hypocritical and fake to justify Government expenditure on her salary and hide the CORRUPTION and THEFT by this Goverment. Zambians should not be fooled by fake shows of religiousness.

  4. Religion is a system of wishful illusions together with a disavowal of reality, such as we find nowhere else but in a state of blissful hallucinatory confusion. Religion’s eleventh commandment is “Thou shalt not question.”
SIGMUND FREUD, The Future of an Illusion.

  5. Minister of religon yaba you can laugh. so whats the job description? Madam go and worship as you are the one who got a job where there should be no job so thank God well.
As for ordinary Zambians we have been fasting ever since lungu came into power so that his five years can elapse quickly.

  6. Reading between the line from the statement above, when one finds and replaces God with Lungu, it sound more like what she was suppose to say.

  7. So what differences are being reconciled and what is the Thanks Giving for? In what capacity will Lungu preside at the Prayer meeting? Lungu should have confessed, apologized to HH for incarcerating him on Fake Treason Charges and thereafter reconcile, pray and heal the Nation. Dictator and Sadist Lungu’s hands are dripping with innocent peoples’ blood. Lungu is gracing the Altar with dirty hands and satanic heart.

  8. How does one give praise for instability and hardship? Yes madame you go and give praise for the cushy job that was created for you at the expense of the taxpayer. The day before this politicised prayer day you raise fees for universities; you raise the price of fuel knowing full well that this is going to push up the price of commodities. So what are we supposed to give thanks for?

    • That’s why corrupt politicians like Lazy Lungu hide behind religion and god…they know fooooools like you are afraid of questioning them.
      Wake up from your docility!!

  9. Such a waste of time, The one and true God won’t be listening to you all corrupt sinners.
Perhaps Jonathan needs to use the time to repent from all his glutinous trips and Chinese kick backs.

  10. Though, the day may be politicised, I will attend this wonderful day. Brethren, though Lungu may be alleged with all that, please, let’s leave that to God. Let’s give to God what’s his and politics to politics.Ifyakwa Less tefyakwangalilako. For this,me I respect ECL.

Among so many Presidents we have had, at least he has demonstrated a practical part of “ZAMBIA IS A CHRISTIAN NATION”

  11. What differences are they reconciling at the Prayer meeting? The Root cause of the Crisis in Zambia is the stolen, disputed and Petitioned 2016 Elections. So is Lungu praying for HH to forget about the Petition? Is he praying for Zambians to forget about Rampant Corruption by his govt? Is he praying for HH to forget that he was imprisoned for 127 days on Fake Treason Charges? What are these National Prayers for? Without confessing, apologising for the wrongs that Lungu has committed to Zambians how can reconciliation and prayer work? Lungu and his Fake Christian Bishops are mocking God.

  12. Men (including women, boys & girls) aught always pray and not to faint – Luke 18:1. We are blessed to have the leadership who not only have a desire to humble themselves, pray & seek the face of the LORD but also are leading by example. Let all well-meaning and peace loving Zambians support this noble cause and Zambia will experience the blessings of the LORD! Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. Psalm 33:12. God bless Zambia!
