Kalampa took advantage of Green Buffaloes’ 0-0 draw at Zanaco to sneak into second place via a superior goal difference.
Nkana and Buffaloes have 65 points each after 33 matches played.
Ronald Kampamba, Jacob Ngulube and Walter Bwalya were the scorers as Nkana thumped Nakambala in the round 33 match in Wusakile.
Nkana were bouncing back to winning ways after last Sunday’s frustrating goalless draw at Kitwe United.
