Lusaka Province Minister Bowman Lusambo has described the allegations leveled against him by NDC as malicious and baseless.
In a statement Mr. Lusambo said the malicious allegations issued by the NDC border on criminal defamation of his personal character and that of the public office he occupy.
He said the scheme to link him to the reported death of an NDC official is not only callous but cheap and a very unafrican manner of mourning a departed colleague. Mr.Lusambo said everyone who was in Roan before, during and after voting knows that he was nowhere near the said violent incident.He has challenged the NDC to produce evidence that will show his role in the unfortunate incident.
The NDC media department reported on its facebook page that their NDC Lusaka province youth chairman Obed Kasongo died after succumbing to injuries inflicted on him by Bowman Lusambo.
They allege that Mr. Kasongo was the party stewart who was on April 11, 2019 beaten with an iron bar by Lusaka province Minister Bowman Lusambo. The assault of Mr. Kasongo happened a few hours before the opening of polls for the Roan parliamentary by election in Luanshya. Mr. Kasongo 52, died at the levy Mwanawasa hospital yesterday where he had gone to receive treatment.
The late Kasongo had been receiving treatment at the hospital following his return from Luanshya a fortnight ago.
He had suffered severe wounds after his attack at the hands of the pf cabinet Minister who personally assaulted the deceased.
And NDC National Youth Chairman Charles Kabwita called for the immediately arrest of Lusaka province Minister Bowman Lusambo.Mr. Kabwita said the NDC had officially opened a docket at Luanshya police two weeks ago against Lusambo. Mr. Kabwita says Luanshya police should now arrest Minister Lusambo in connection with the death.

This is a very serious allegation that needs to be investigated. If Mr. Lusambo is guilty then he needs to face the law. Knowing the calibre f person he is, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s true.
On the ccontrary if this is proved to be a false allegation then Mr. Lusambo has the right to sue for devaluation damages.
But at the end of the day, it’s really sad that PF violence is now claiming people’s lives. This is the kind of leadership our nation has. A bunch of violent thugs. The future of our country is really worrying. We may end up seeing unrest in the country at this rate.
If we had a descent government, Lusambo would be suspended pending a full investigation. But because he was serving the interests of Lungu, nothing will come of it.
Kambwili already mentioned that Lusambo was in Lwanshya and committing violence on election day and the preceeding days.
If this violent situation being propagated by PF is not checked, it will lead to serious chaos in the country.
The charge unfortunately can only be manslaughter, which is a much lesser charge than murder.
Lusambo should be convicted if he was involved in any way. Even if he was not there himself, he is guilty if he sent those thugs to do harm to the late NDC member.

Not only will their sanctioning Boss Jona Chakolwa face corruption /embezzlement charges when it leaves office, but will be carted off to the Haig, where it will sit in a Prison cell for years, unable to enjoy its corrupt proceeds Chapwa!
Instead of rushing to conclusions, carry out a postmortem. Then and only then can you accuse Lusambo of such a heinous crime. RIP Mr Kasongo.

This sounds like Kambwili allegations. Most people saw the video of this man were he was explaining that he had been attacked. He said “by people he did not know”. There was no name mentioned. So this Lusambo name seems to be a new discovery by kambwilis

Just looking into this case, there should be a witness who saw this tragedy when it too place, the diseased he would have come forward to the police department and report the person of interest. But since no witnesses or officers had reported the incident, I think it is baseless even though I despise this monkey Lusambo .

First of all Condolences to the family of the deceased. Secondly, Zambians must stop killing each other over political differences. Our forefathers fought for our independence must be turning in their graves seeing Zambians dying over politics 54 years after independence. We can differ politically but that is no reason to assault let alone kill an opponent.

Saddest party of society is that no political party wants to admit to a wrong. On this issue instead of feeling sympathy for the deceased and his family, all I see are innuendo and threats. I’m a very qualified forensic psychiatrist and I can assure that Lusambo has a long outstanding history of both verbal and physical violence and has not shown any remorse or accepting his wrong doings. Lusambo if he was in a developed country could have be referred for forensic service to have index offence therapy, relapse prevention, and more importantly counselling. Major Kachingwe suffered from lusambo brutality, even Michael Sata. In this country we need spiritual intervention. We need serious prayers to transform our culture and values. For example, insults on social media platforms are actually fuelling a very serious problem for the country. Imagine where someone says ” Twanaka, Lungu ne mwa shakwe balonge” meaning we are tired Lungu with his dogs must pack and go. The pf fools, *****s, sure these are alarming statements. There are so many examples particulary vented on the ruling party but few on the opositions. Now thesr insults are published the way they are said by an individual in the pretext that its a political party which has said that. This is a dangerous precedent being set.
