Roan Member of parliament Honourable Joseph Chishala yesterday afternoon was ambushed by Youths in his constituency doing some illegal mining at CNMC Luanshya Copper Mines.
The youths who requested the member of parliament to address them and listen to their cry’s expressed disappointment on the management of Luanshya Copper Mines.
Upon addressing them, Hon Joseph Chishala explained to the youths that last week on Monday, in the company of Luanshya member of parliament Hon Steven Chungu, he had visited the mine management and the mine promised that the youths will be allowed to do their mining provided they don’t bring in any machinery, until such a time that the mine start mining at Roan basin.
The youths who appealed to the Roan lawmaker maker that once the mine management removes them from the mine he must find them what to do because apparently mining is the only source of their income.
Hon Joseph Chishala told the youths that he is still trying to lobby from the government so that Luanshya Copper Mines can surrender the dumpsite to the youths.
The MP is a law maker, someone who promotes legality. So if you are doing illegal mining, then you should run away from the law maker and not demand to see the law maker. What kind of impunity is this?
The mp has failed the area. Do not worry 2021 is around the corner, you will have opportunity to vote in a pf member who will ensure your concerns are addressed through action based initiatives
There are no jobs for a common man except for massive d!ck he@ds like KZ and their families .They have stolen bus loads of tax payers cash which they have used to build Mansions around State House and Swaziland .These are not jobs which anyone should be proud of .
I can see serious social problems all round even without going to Luanshya, Kitwe or Mufulira. But if we spend most of our time holding by-elections, holding overnight prayer sessions and inflating government tenders, there will be no solutions to these problems.
I suppose, even a dump has a silver lining! But one wonders why it’s illegal to harvest the dump?? To me, it appears that the mining company has no further use for the dump. So, why not legalise this business by issuing licences to the young men willing to utilise the dump?
Yes this is the time now to hammer them. 2021 is coming.
