A late goal handed Zimbabwe a home win over Zambia today in a Maputo 2011 All-Africa Games women’s football tournament qualifier played in Harare.
Zimbabwe beat Zambia 1-0 in heir preliminary round first leg match played at Rufaro Stadium.
An own-goal from Zambian defender Annie Kibanje in the 80th minute from a poor headed clearance handed the home side victory.
The two sides will meet in the return leg on February 26 in Lusaka.
Winner over both legs will face Angola in the away in the first round, first leg final qualifying stage during the weekend of April 29 –May 1.
And the winner of the first round tie will qualify for the All- Africa Games women’s finals in Maputo from September 3-18.

Why don’t you just ban this She-polopolo? every time we hear of she – polopolo is losting, come on ban that team. do they play any soccer. it is not a crime not to have women soccer in the country. they are just wasting people’s money. it is not too late dismantle this team and find a right solution.
