Chishimba Kambwili granted a K50,000 bail pending trial

The Kasama Magistrate Court has granted opposition Patriotic Front Member of the Central Committee, Chishimba Kambwili a K50,000 bail pending trial.

Mr. Kambwili has been granted bail in his own recognizance with two working sureties also to pay K50,000 each in their own recognizance.

This is in a case in which Mr. Kambwili has been charged with the offence of expressing hatred and ridicule for persons because of tribe and place of origin.

Mr. Kambwili was granted bail when he appeared before Kasama Resident Magistrate, Samson Mumba today for explanation of the charge.

Magistrate Mumba adjourned the case to July 7th, 2022 for mention.

And making submissions before applying for bail, defense lawyers expressed concern that Mr. Kambwili has been in detention since Monday 20th June, without being granted police bond.

The defence lawyers further bemoaned that the continued detention of Mr. Kambwili is not only unlawful but unjustified.

  1. We got the best lawyers don’t worry papa. Upnd can never win a single case. How can a tribal government acuse anyone of tribalism

    • I am a proud Easterner for one thing: We demonstrated that we are not as tribal ngabalya njikwite. Same with the Northerners, you should walk with your heads high, you showed how it’s supposed to be done in a normal society.

  2. Iam counting again 12 policemen, No actually 13 policemen just to arrest one lumpenela politician! Ba Kajoba! You mean there are no crimes happening in the country demanding these police officers’ presence? Koma this is ineficiency ba IG sure

    • Thieves have ran rampant in Kitwe where they are uprooting fixtures containing metal. Not a single one has been apprehended…. but here we’re the entire battalion guarding the master of fainting.

  3. Guys like Bowman and BUFFOON CK have so many court cases that you wonder how they keep on top of them…when they sentences start coming in they will think its a load of bricks falling on them.

  4. Why are ACC and DEC not investigating Chitalu Chilufya, Kaizer Zulu, Freedom Sikazwe, Hibeene Mwiinga, Michael Katambo, Mvunga, Kebby Mbewe and have gone silent on Joseph Malanji? These are obvious cases and am wondering why they are pretending that the didnt steal. HH please send officers

  5. Ifya bupuba uleke nomba Ch,ikala iwe! You rotten tribalism nearly Rwandanized Zambia wembwe we!

  6. Useless CK smarting from the folly of all along disparaging a person they preached would NEVER rule Zambia or a person from a certain part of the country! Had acceptance been embraced with an attitude of “that which has happened has happened and a new president has been handed the instruments of power lets all play roles at moving the country forward” but denial and hate has blinded even ones who’d effectively offer checks and balances!
